Welcome Tjaart. I just saw this post since I had trouble getting on for a couple of days but wanted to welcome you to our little group. I usually post in the daily thread each morning (if I hurry enough to get on before work). I live in the suburbs south east of Los Angeles, California.
I also visit the TOH BB and have made many wonderful friends there and here, in fact TOH is where I heard about BakeSpace. Babbett is so helpful here and is always around if you need help with anything.

I noticed you joined BakeSpace on my Brithday Oct 27th. Hope to see you on the morning post or even post there in the morning your time or just whenever you can. I know I check in in the evenings somethime so we will see your posts (sorry, don't mean this to sound bossy, just helpful).

Vicki- That was so sweet of you to post the list of names and cities and the links to TOH, your a doll.

I thought you were a man, then I was confused when it seemed like everyone thought otherwise. I guess we are straightened out now. I love visiting Lancaster and the Amish!! That is our favorite day trip and we stay overnight at least once a year there so we can do a lot. You are right Witness was filmed there. They had a big anniversary last year I think and had special Witness tours. My husband and I lived in Germany for years and I have always felt a special place in my heart for the Amish, I love reading about them, and have many Amish cookbooks. I think they are the very best cookbooks. There are more places around here that have Amish communities and I love seeing them with their horse and buggies. One grocery store we visit near Lancaster always has horses tied to a rail outside and many Amish shopping inside. I always feel sorry for them when I see people trying to take their pictures as it is against their religion to have their faces shown like that. Well I have chattered on enough. I guess I better check out the rest of the board.
