So we take Karma to daycare (just like we did when we had Chance). We figure it will be good for her to be around other people and dogs bc she can be a bit skittish around new people. Tues and Thurs are her days to go.

Well husband picked her up and apparently she got into a scuffle with another dog. What happened was that Karma and this other dog where in the same kennel. The person watching them went to the kennel next to them in order to clean it out and in mere seconds she heard growling and immediately acted. She separated the dogs and nothing major happened to either. Karma has a scrape on her chest, a scratch on her ear, and another one on her face. The other dog has the same injuries.

My poor baby (and the poor other dog). No idea what happened but there were toys in the kennel so maybe someone got jealous. But no one really knows. Just happy they are both ok.

Thanks DD. It could have been a lot worse. Just felt bad seeing her scraps and cuts when I got home.

When I took my new puppy (now 3 years old) to puppy classes she growled at all the other puppies! She never was a joiner.

The obedience instructor said some dogs like their space and not to press her. Since she came from a shelter and was there for at least a month, I figured she didn't have much socialization.

She still isn't very social but she's lots better than she used to be.
