So I was at a local coffee shop this weekend and there was a little dotson dog sitting next to us that eventually got up on us and wanted to sit on our laps. He was sooo cute! Anyhow.. as the thread states.. has anyone ever put a leash on their cat & taken it for a walk? I would think it would be so much fun.. I have one cat in particular (gracie) who I think would actually "walk" with it.. I'm wondering two things:
1) have you tried it?
2) did all the people on the street think you were crazy? |

Babs - I thought about it with my cats - but then thought I was crazy! I did want to get some kind of fencing or enclosure for them to hang outside yet be secure and not run away - but again, I never took action and bought anything. I think my boyfriend would make fun of me. _________________

Hey Babs if you decide to walk your cat make sure you get a harness, and not a collar. Most cats can easily slip out of a collar, and a harness lets you control it without choking him or her. _________________ Carol

Carolyn it's all about the training. When I first got Pebbles I brought her to Petsmart for a training class. When she lived with me we did lots of practicing. The loose leash walking really worked. However, she lives with my parents now b/c the real estate agent totally mislead us on the pet policy. _________________ MICHELE
