This is an email I got from Wegmans today.
Efforts to Sell Beer and Wine in All Wegmans New Jersey Stores
As a Wegmans shopper, you know that convenience, quality, incredible service, consistent low prices and unmatched variety are what we're all about. We'd like to make the experience of shopping at Wegmans even better, and certainly more convenient, by selling wine and beer in all of our New Jersey stores.
Currently New Jersey law allows food stores to hold just two liquor licenses, limiting our ability to offer this convenience at more locations. However, a new bill, removing the two-license limit, has been introduced into the New Jersey State Legislature. Wegmans has joined with many other food retailers in New Jersey to help support this new initiative.
There is some opposition to a change in the law. But, if you would like the convenience of purchasing beer and wine in all of our stores, let your voice be heard. Visit www.onestopshopnj.com, where you can easily send an email to your state representatives in support of this new law. Just click the "take action" tab on the website and follow the instructions.
Thank you for your support and for shopping at Wegmans _________________ MICHELE

I LOVE Bottle King. I was just there yesterday - without kids, so I was able to browse the wines and pick up some new things to try. _________________ -Catherine

I love that they have a membership/discount card - cracks me up. And the people there have suggested some really good wines. I did have a bad experience one day when another customer gave me grief about bringing my three year old with me to buy booze. I'm not quick witted enough to have had a good response, so I just stood there and felt silly being reprimanded by a total stranger. It's not as if I was buying any of the liquor for my child!!! _________________ -Catherine

oh that's ridiculous. claire loves going there with me ever since she was 3 or so cause my bottle king is smaller than most and they have alot of product(case wine) out in stacked boxes and there are little gaps to hide in and then jump out in front of me and yell BOO! she still likes doing this and she turned nine 2 weeks ago.
if it happens again, tell them she only drinks light beer right now. no hard stuff until she's 12. _________________

That's good stuff! That's exactly the kind of thing I wanted to say, but was just too stunned to say anything. I will definitely remember that, though, because it's hilarious!!
Natalie loved it there too. She was busy admiring the different wine labels - the ones with animals or funny people on them. _________________ -Catherine
