Hi Debbie
My girls are 25 and 22 (twins), I swear they have gotten worse than when they were little. They fight, argue and attack each other and me all the time. Sometimes I just can't believe they are all grown up. We have asked them to move out but because they don't make much money yet they have no way to support themselves. I don't mind them home if they would just stop fighting.

Boy is it ever wicked outside! We're getting freezing rain and sleet now and I don't like that at all. If it wasn't for a couple of the men I work with, I would probably still be cleaning off my car. I had about 1/2 inch of ice on my windows and it would have taken me a long time to clean them off myself. The roads aren't bad yet, but I'm sure they will get bad later. We are supposed to get the freezing rain until 9:00 PM - I just hope my electricity doesn't go out - a lot of people in neighboring towns have lost power today. I guess once the freezing rain stops, we are supposed to get about three more inches of snow. The old groundhog may have predicted an early spring, but he didn't tell us that the rest of the winter was going to be awful.

Linda W - I hope your day is improving. My mother and I went through a period where we didn't get along, but as I grew older we became very close and were best friends. I hope your sisters surgery goes well.

Vicki - I hope you had a good day. Is tonights meeting the same one that was cancelled last week?

Pat - the Valentine cups sound so cute - I bet it was fun putting them together.

Holly - what's happened to all of your graphics? I must have missed something, was John in an accident?

Debbie - aren't mothers wonderful? I always said about my mother, no matter how old and ugly I got, she always worried about her baby! That's just how they are. Even with her dementia, if I looked tired or just not feeling very well, she would tell me to go home and get some rest. For her to say that, I knew she was concerned, because she always wanted me with her. Wow - you know your mother is feeling better if she went to get a perm - that is wonderful to hear. I'm sure too many visitors is hard on her, after all, she's still recovering. Things at work weren't too bad - the phones didn't ring as much as usual, probably because so many people didin't show up for work. I was busy, but never so busy that I was stressed. It was great not having the constant chatter!

Becca - I'm so happy you found the time to stop in. I know being a mother takes a lot of time, especially when your children are sick. Will continue to keep your family in my prayers. I'll try get an email to you later.

Kenna Lou - your dinner looks delicious! I wish you all could email some of your meals. I don't usually go to a lot of trouble preparing meals just for me. I used to cook a lot more when my parents were alive and living at home, but haven't so much since they've passed away. I'll usually just make some chili, or spaghetti and then eat that for a couple of days, or just grab a sandwich or eat cereal.

My lights just flickered a little - I hope they just flicker and don't go out. Guess I had better get some dinner, will probably just have a peanut butter sandwich.

HI TO MY DEAR FRIENDS....I just got the Beef Hash put together and it's simmering on the stove. Dh just called and said he'd be a few minutes late...he had to take his buddy home, becuse his truck is in the shop. So I thought I'd take a minute to stop in and see what everyone had done today. It's starting to sleet here and it's coming down prety can see that it's glazing over driving is going to be hazardous. So glad that my DD and her DH are in for the evening. I hope DH makes it home without any problems..driving in the ice is so scary.
I see I'm going to making a little trip over to the Prayer Thread and add to my list. There are so many people sick at this tiime of year and with prayer they will probably get better quicker, or at least have an angel watching over them.

***BECCA, Sorry to hear you and your family have had so much sickness these past months. I'm adding you and your family to the prayer list. What is RSV? I think I should know that, but it aludes me at this time. Thanks for taking the time to let us know how things are going in your little corner of the world.I'm sending you an e-mail this evening.

***KENNA LOU, Glad you are having a good day, with nice temps. Your dinner sounds so delish...It reminds me of summer!!

***HOLLY, So sorry John isn't doing well. I pray the doctors can help him. Is he in any pain? I'll be sure to put both you on the prayer list too.

***LINDA W, You know I think I've said this to you before, but those girls of yours are way out of line and you HAVE to do some "TOUGH LOVE" on them...all 3 of them!!!! The sooner the better. You're not doing them any favors by always being there for them... not at that age. It's way past time for them to get out on their own and see what the real world is like! I"m sure they all can room with friends or each other..I wouldn't care> They might even have to give up buying pretty clothes and shoes and eating out or partying or whatever they spend their money on, but They are past the time to grow up. Until then you will always be living like you are. If you don't have them move...Then by all means set some house rules ans tell them they HAVE to be followed or else it's OUT!!! Sooner or later they will come around and things will be better. I'm soory if I offended you, but I've had to do just that with My brother who was spongeing off us and my own DD!! They both have now become self-suffienct citizens!!

Well, DG made it home so I need to go take up dinner. Hope everyone has a good evening and stays in where it dry and warm. TTYAL...Take care...Debbie

Quickly checking in before I leave:
Yes, this is the same meeting that was cancelled last week. The storm is staying south.... however, this is very unfortunate for Sheryle. You are home, aren't you? Our temperatures in Michigan are plunging, again. This is bringing more water main breaks.

Hoping this note finds each of you safe. Will check in later tonight or tomorrow.

KennaLou, we love Texas Toast-yum! MDH John is in lotza pain, he HATES the cervical "C" collar on his neck, especially since his neck is swollen and he is going to his orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to see what they are going to do-hope they are wrong at the doctors today-don't want to have to go through neck surgery or left arm surgery with MDH John's health problems. Debbie, your dinner sounds good, too, now I can't decide which one is best Question Question
