Back from my errands, didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Patti, About the salmon patties yesterday I don't like making them because of the smell of can salmons.hadn't thought to try fresh salmon. My DH loves made from scratch banana pudding,so every once in a while I make it for him,I hate bananas, cutting them up for me is terrible. But I do it for him,I guess we all do things we don't like for our loved ones. Laughing

Debbie, we only got some rain Tuesday. This year we've only had a light snow mixed with sleet ,then it rained on that.School was out for that because they thought we would get more than we did.Tomorrow school was suppose to be out for a teacher work day but now they have to go to make up that day.We don't get alot of snow ,not usually. January 2000 we got about 16 or 17 inches of snow at our house, some around us got 20 or so inches. Our power was out for 4 days.Luckily we had portable heaters.I cooked outside on a coleman stove.Don't want to have to do that again.People around here don't know how to handle alot of snow.Everything gets shut down when more than a few inches fall. We're having bbq chicken, macorni salad and biscuits for dinner.

Sheryle, that's great how your mother made soup.It reminds me of me.Thats how I make my vegetable beef soup.Taste til I get it right.

Got to check on my dinner,TTYL.

Hi All,

I know, holy cow, who is that!!!!!!! I have been terrible keeping up with this board, somedays it is hard just getting to the BB over at TOH.
I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day! It was just a regular day here but I did get some chocolate from DH so that was nice.

Thank you Vicki for the card! And for the emails Holly!!! Always gives me a smile!!!
I hope you are all safe during the snowy weather. It is actually nice up her, just above freezing but a nice chage from the -33*C we had earlier in the week.
I am working on my packages for the TOH Creative Cakes Contest and getting ready for spring. I start 100's of seeds under flouresent lights in my basement every spring. I have such a short growing season I need all the help I can get.

I hope you are all well, sorry I haven't been around, I will try and do better!

Take care and talk to you all soon,

Hello Everyone!!

I've been terribly busy this week at work...lots of changes. I think the changes will be for the best. But it's got a lot of people scared or mad. Scared because they think they might lose their jobs and mad because they actually have to work now. Imagine actually having to work at work Rolling Eyes !!! I really don't understand some people.

I'm also relearning how to do payroll. So I've been sitting in with my Office manager and also trying to keep up with my own work. I'd rather be busy than sit around with nothing to do, so I'm not complaining.

My DS had no school yesterday because of the blowing snow causing drifting on the back roads. So his Valentines day party was today. The school sent notes home telling they were selling carnations for a $1. My DH and I decided to buy one and have it sent to him, he was so excited to show me when I picked him up at daycare. It really makes you feel good when you get that reaction from your kids. They have a mid-winter no school tomorrow or Monday. Trying to figure out what we can do fun tomorrow during the day while my DH is working. I'll figuere something out.

Well I have my big day this weekend...another birthday. The boys want to make me a cake. That would be a great picture, DH and the boys in the kitchen trying to make me a cake. My DH would freak out before they ever got started. The boys would have him in a frazzle. But you all know....we go through it everyday. Those boys want to be in the kitchen, whether it the counter or standing on a chair in front of the stove while I'm cooking everday. But if I have my way those boys will learn how to cook and what better way than to teach them at a young age. Both of my boys love to watch Emeril and Rachel Ray(they get her from my DH).

Hope you all have a great evening.

"Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of being." Johan Wolfgang van Goethe

Life is like an onion, you peel off one layer at a time and sometimes you weep.
