I'm going to still go for the raspberries. I want to make jelly if possible. We could go back again anytime. It doesn't cost anything to go. You just pay for what you purchase. I'll definitely be doing the apple picking thing again. WIthout a doubt. I'll do the breakfast thing too, hopefully. _________________ MICHELE

Sorry for forgetting to tell you about it!!
The picking was great. We went last week and it was really quiet - a good time to bring all three kids. You don't pay for anything except the berries (and the containers - which are $.10 each). You can wander around - there are animals and picnic tables. Oh, the ice cream is fantastic!! One tip, go in and get the containers before you head up to the fields... we hauled the kids halfway out and then realized we needed something to put the berries in. Oy! I think there is a stand right by the fields that is open on the weekends. I'm guessing you pay and pick up the containers right there. If that's not open, you have to go into the store.
That's a bummer about the strawberries. Though, I'd be totally up for raspberries and blueberries. If we don't go to the shore, I could be a last minute add on. But I'm pretty sure we'll be away that weekend. _________________ -Catherine

That weekend is this weekend. Sunday. lol
How much did you end up spending on berries? We ended up spending quiet a bit when we got apples! It's just so fun to pick and we couldn't stop picking. You should go to myspace and see my pics from that day.
Did the kids enjoy it? That's so nice to do with them. _________________ MICHELE

Okay, I'm SO confused! For some reason, I thought it was next weekend. Perhaps I should look at a calendar! LOL! I've already signed Paul up (against his will) for Pottypalooza (as he has nicknamed it). If I leave him, he'll most likely never speak to me again!! I really thought the picking was next weekend... which is when we are headed to the shore. _________________ -Catherine

hahaha. That's okay Cat. I think we may change it b/c they only have a small blueberry crop left and raspberries (which I like) and then gooseberry and currants. I've never tried either. I don't even know what they look like! lol _________________ MICHELE

We got a small batch of raspberries last week when we were there and they were pretty sour. Maybe they've ripened up a bit since then, but I ended up adding them to my berry martini mix instead of trying to use them for a dessert. I probably could have added enough sugar to them to make them usable, but I decided to drench them in booze instead
Have fun if you go... it's definitely a good time and I'm sure you'll come back with something fun. They probably have fresh strawberries in the farm market area even if you can't pick them from the plant. _________________ -Catherine
