Good Morning Sheryle, Kity and everyone to follow!!!

Today is a good Monday for me, I took today off so that I could spend 1 work day of Spring Break with my kids. Figured that today would be the quietest if we decided to venture out to try and do something. Thought maybe we'd try and go see that new movie "Meet the Robinsons" and then maybe have lunch somewhere.

Was a busy weekend and will be a busy rest of week.

Talk to everyone later,

Jennifer

Good Morning, Sheryle, Pat, Jennifer, all to follow!

I am preparing to make an easy version of cinnamon rolls/sticky buns, and have a break as the oven preheats. If they turn out, I can post the recipe. My daughter and grandchildren are stopping by a little later this morning. They should be great taste testers.

The oven has preheated. Hope to catch you later.
Sending smiles and hugs,
Vicki

I changed the Crescent Caramel Swirl recipe (posted by Maybrie and Star) into a quick and easy Sticky Bun recipe. My husband and daughter gave these sticky buns their vote of approval. You easily could reduce the nuts to 1/4 to 1/3 cup. Note that this recipe uses an 8-inch square pan instead of a Bundt pan.

EASY PECAN STICKY BUNS - using refrigerated crescent rolls

1/4 cup butter - melted (plus, some soft butter OR margarine to spread inside the crescent rolls)
1/2 cup walnuts - coarsely chopped (used toasted pecans)
1/4 cup 2 T brown sugar - packed
1-1/2 teaspoons water
1 - 8 ounce can crescent rolls

-- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
-- Coat bottom and sides of an 8-inch square pan with 2 tablespoons of the melted butter. Sprinkle pan with 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
-- In a small saucepan, combine remaining butter, brown sugar, and water. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
-- Remove dough from can. Do NOT separate into rolls. Gently unroll. Lightly spread soft margarine on the inside of the crescent rolls. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Re-roll. Cut roll into 8 slices.
-- Arrange, cut side down, in prepared pan. Spoon brown sugar mixture over dough.
-- Bake until golden brown (approximately 28 minutes). Cool 1 minute.
-- Invert unto serving platter. Serve warm.

GOOD AFTERNOON FRIENDS.....It's 3:30 in the afternoon and it's time for a break! I've been on the go since early morning. My dad and DD and her family are coming for dinner tonite and I've been busy cleaning the house and cooking. I made a chocolate cake, spaghetti sauce with meatballs, a really nice tossed salad and garlic bread is next on the list to do. But I had to take a little break, because my foot is killing me, so I took a couole Advil and decided to set a minute. Got a new tablecloth yesterday and dressed my dining room table for Easter...it looks so pretty. DD is already here and I went outside with her and the boys for a few minutes to watch the kids play...we're in now , but going back outside after dinner! I could not believe it rained all week-end long.....DH and I didn't get anything done outside. We had planned on working in the yard and cleaning off the patio. Now today it's beautiful....I told DH I thought he had a fever and needed to call off today...he didn't fall for it, but said he'd love to. No motorcycle riding either this past week-end!!! Oh well, tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day in the 80's...then turning cold again, in the low 40's!!! YUCK!!!

***SHERYLE, I hope your running late for work, didn't start your day off on the wrong foot. You had such a good week last week...I hope you have another one like that!

***PAT, Have fun shopping for Easter things for school. Do the kids want anything for Easter? Cody wants Curious George Bubble Maker and Blake is too little to say what he wants.

***JENNIFER, I seen the previews for that movie and it looked really good for kids. What a fun time for you and the boys...movie and lunch with thier best friend!

***VICKI, Your "Cinnamon Sticky buns" sound reall Yummy! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Anytime you need a taste tester, let me know!

***LINDA W, Thanks for sharing your family pictures. they were very nice.

***LINDA L, I did some major cleaning today too. I need to clear out some things I dodn't use any longer and would love to have a garage sale, but I don't know if I'm able to do it.

Well I guess my break is over. I do however have a question....I can't get on to Holly's Myspace. Does anyone else have a problem with it? I let her know about it, through e-mail and she said they changed thier password and have new song, so it should load faster. The problem I'm having is...NOTHING works...I can't use the cursor, I can't click on home to get back to my MYspace, I can't hit back ...nothing works...I have to go to task manager and end the job!! Holly if you read this...I still can't get on, but have NO Trouble getting on to anyone else's! I'll try to get back on tonite, but I don't know! I hope everyone has a wonderful evening!! Hello to anyone that stops in today. Take care and hugs to all.....Debbie
