Good Morning
I have not been on for a couple of days now, because we had a serious problem in my family that has devastated us all.
You all might have read about a man that went into a office building on Monday, in Detroit, and shot 3 people, killing one, That man was my cousin.
We are just reeling in my family, because Anthony is such a mild mannered man, who at one time was studying to be a priest. He is quiet, gentle and wonderful with children. No one in my family can believe this has happened. We all just don't know what to do, We don't want to bother my Aunt and Uncle but we kinda want some answers too. My Aunt and uncle are only 6 years older than me and I was one of their bridesmaids so I am very close to them, but I still can't bring myself to call there.
My mom was flying home when it hit CNN and we were hoping she didn't see it on the news. Thankfully she didn't. We had to break it to her later.
Everyone was calling me, my one cousin was hysterical. I feel like I am in a dream.
When I get nervous like this I eat and last night I ate junk food and more junk food.
Please pray for my cousin, my family and for the families who were hurt and killed.
So if I am not on for a while it is because of this. I will keep checking and reading your topics I just don't know if I have anything to say.
thanks for your prayers
Linda

Good Morning Linda and all to follow!!!

I'm so sorry Linda to hear of your families pain. I've heard quite a bit about it just because he's a local boy, I work in Grand Rapids and watch G.R. news. So they've had alot of different stories on him. I'll be praying for you and your family.

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. I do get on here everyday it's just that someday's I don't have time to post. I guess I could always just come on and say a quick Hi but just don't think that's enough. But I think that's what I'll start doing, just so everyone knows I'm still checking in.

Wyatt was back to school on Monday and he was glad to be back. I think he had to go and check to see what all of his "school friends" had been up to. I went to the school board meeting Monday and it was pretty laid back this month. With the big cuts that happened last month, there wasn't much for them to say. I'm not sure if they will be getting the preschool program back next year and that will affect Lukas. We really want him in a preschool, he needs the challenge that he isn't getting in daycare. So the search is on.

I'll talk to everyone later,

Jennifer

Good morning Linda, Jennifer and all to follow. Well, I'm getting a late start this morning. I woke up with a headache and decided I would try to get rid of it and go in to work a little late. Probably a good idea not to sit at my desk all day anyway... I'm not sure how my back is going to take that.

Linda - sorry to hear about things that are going on in your family...I'm sure that was quite a shock to all!

Jennifer - I'm sure between work and those two little boys you're kep very busy. Just stop in when you can.

I had better go and finish getting ready for work. Have a great day!

Sheryle

Good morning Linda W.,Jennifer,Sheryle and everyone who stops by later.
I went to walmart yesterday evening and it was terrible,I couldn't find anything. This was one of the stores that got rid of the fabrics and remodeled the store.Wanted to get a new book but they had cut that back too. They only had a few.The store is a big dissapointment.
Today I'll do my washing, cooking and cleaning.I'm cooking salmons, potato patties, homemade coleslaw and hushpuppies.Chocolate pudding with whipped topping for dessert.

Linda W. ,I'm sorry your family is having this trouble.Such a terrible thing for all of you to have to go through.I'll be keeping you and both families in my prayers.

Jennifer, I know how it is to be busy with 2 children, not much time left for other things.Come in and post whenever you can.

Sheryle, you take care not to over do it at work, try and relax whenever you can.

Well I'd better get myself to working or nothing will get done today.

Everyone have a wonderful day.

Good morning Linda W, Jennifer and Sheryle and all my other Bakespace friends who stop by today.
*Linda what a tragedy for all involved. I am glad that your mother got the news from her family and not from the news. I will say a prayer for all involved. Thank you for letting us know what you are going through, we worry about each other.
*Jennifer, yes it would be nice even if you only had time to say hello. I hope you don't lose your preschool program.
*Sheryle, I will say a prayer that all goes well for you at work today. Hope your headache went away.
I heard from my Dr.s office today, they said that the MRI's showed two badly bulging discs, one in my neck and one in my low back, I am thinking that of all the things that could have been wrong this is the least serious, they had thought that the spinal stenosis was back again and that would have definetely have meant surgery. I will get the answers about the other tests later in the week I guess.

Good Morning Linda W, Jennifer, Sheryle, Pat, Patti and Everyone that stops by.........I feel like poop today, I think I got someone's nasty ole cold and a sore throat. Of course having the furnace decide to go out twice in a week and get the house cold, probably didn't help either. Anyway, I'm taking some cold meds and hopefully that will clear up the symptoms. It was supposed to warm up a little bit today and rain, but so far it's just COLD and very WINDY! DH is working out of town again for the day, and nothing pressig to do on my schedule, so I think I'll just take it easy and nurse this nasty cold. DD called this morning and said her and the boys would probably be over today....She had me order them some Schwans pizzas and they were coming over to get them.

***LINDA W, I'm at a lose for words! What a terrible tradgey for your family! I will definitely keep You and all involved in my daily prayers! If you ever have the need to talk to someone, please we are here for you!

***JENNIFER, Hey girl...glad to see you stop in today! I realize having two active little boys well keep you busy, but we do miss hearing from you! Good luck with the pre-school situation.

***SHERYLE, You just get a break can you? Hopefully your headache has eased up and how about your back? Is it any better? Did you go to work yesterday?

***PAT, You made a comment about Walmart. You know we used to get our prescriptions filled thereand do our grocery shopping, but have in the past month moved our prescriptions to Rite-Aid...which is also cheaper and do my grocery shopping at Foodland...which is also cheaper. I think the store is getting rid of things that people wanted and it's going to haunt then in the end. Sounds like you have a busy day planned.....don't forget about a little break!

***PATTI, Seriosly bulging discs would definitely cause the numbness in your legs. Are they treating that with meds? Just continue to take it easy and good luck with the rest of your tests.

Well, it's off the the recliner and my little blankie and a nap. I'll take to you all later this evening. Hello to everyone that stops in. Take care and hugs for ya ....Debbie

Good afternoon everyone! I didn't want y'all to think I left you. I just haven't felt like posting lately. I have had the cold and sore throat thing that everyone else is having. It started last Monday, so it has been over a week now. I haven't felt like doing much of anything. Today is the first day that I felt half way decent when I woke up. As soon as I take medicine, I get so groggy that it is hard to function. UGH! Hopefully, I am just about over it!

Linda W - so sorry to hear about what happened in you family. Things like that are so hard to understand. I'll be praying for you family.

Not much is going on here. I just wanted to drop by and say "Hi" and let you know that I haven't abandoned you. I hope everyone that is feeling under the weather start to feel better soon.

Hugs, Kenna Lou

Well I made it through work. I had to take a pain pill at around 2:30 and if I hadn't, I don't think I would have been able to stay until quitting time. The weather is horrible! It just started pouring rain just before I left work. I had a nice surprise when I got home...my Tastefully Simple order was sitting at my front door. I haven't opened it yet as I was anxious to lie down and get rid of this back ache. When I start feeling better, I'm going to open it up and look at my goodies. I'm planning a graduation party for two of our student employees and I think I'll make one of my beer breads and make up a few of the dip mixes.

Pat - I don't like WalMart as much as I used to. It seems like I can never find what I'm looking for and their prices aren't always the best. The WalMart here still has the fabric department the prices are great, but you just can't get anyone to wait on you. It isn't so bad if you want to buy thread or buttons, but you need someone to cut the fabric. Last time I was wanting fabric, I searched the department and couldn't find an employee, I finally just put the bolt on the counter and walked away. I get most of my prescriptions through Anthems mail order and that saves me a lot of time and money, but anything I have to get right away, I just go to CVS, and I get my groceries at Kroger...they have a better selection than WalMart. Your dinners always sound so good!

Patti - What can be done about the bulgiing discs? It certainly sounds painful. What is spinal stenosis, did you have surgery for that before?

Debbie - sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. Did you have a nice visit with your daughter and grandsons? How is she doing with her pregnancy? I hope you were able to take it easy today, that's the best thing you can do with a cold. I like to rest, sleep, eat soup and drink oj and tea..all that is always so comforting to me when I'm sick. I got your lovely card in the mail today...thank you so much. I'm terrible about mailing cards...I'll even buy the cards and not get them in the mail.

Kenna Lou - you're sick too? Our little group just hasn't been very healthy lately. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Kate - isn't that the way it goes when you are getting ready to take time off work? I always have a lot of last minute things that just magically appear on my desk, or something goes wrong so that I worry that I won't get my work done. I'm glad you liked my web site...not sure exactly where I'm going with it. Have a great vacation!

I don't have to worry about dinner tonight. We ordered from Jimmy John's for lunch today and had it delivered. I wasn't hungry when I got my sub, so just put it in the fridge at work. So I brought it home and will have it for dinner.

I hope you all have a nice evening.

Sheryle

Good night Pat, Sheryle, yes I had surgery for the spinal stenosis, they removed part of my spine, and now I am like the six million dollar man, ha ha. Titanium rods, pins screws etc. I would never want to go through that again, so I am hoping this wont be anything so drastic. My Dr. got me an appt. for a surgeon who specializes in neurology. He is supposed to be the best around and I can't get in for a month! Until then I am to take it easy, yeah right. That will not be a possibility. I was trying to take it easy until next week, when I thought I would be going to the specialist, that would have been hard enough. Okay, I am done whining. Anybody heard from Linda L.? I am heading for bed, good night girls. Hope everyone has a great night of restful sleep.
