Good Morning, Everyone!
Wow! Did we have a percussion and light show last night --- the thunder and lightning were spectacular. No damage, but we unplug the computer whenever there is a threat of a lightning strike. With the warmer temperatures the maple leaves are popping out of their buds, and the oak leaves should be doing the same in a couple weeks.

Saturday, my mother-in-law returned to Michigan. My sister-in-law helped drive the car back, and returns to Florida today. We visited with them Sunday and Monday.

Wishing you a lovely day,
Hugs,
Vicki

LINDA - You will be in my prayers as you have your MRI today. Congratulations on upcoming cruise in August.
PAT - How was your surprise birthday celebration for your daughter? Sounds like fun.
PATTI - You were enjoying time with extended family, too. Hope you had a wonderful time.
DEBBIE - Did you have time to make those chocolate chip cookies with your grandson? In a couple years, my grandson would love to do that, too.

Well, more thunder and lightning storms are rolling in. Time to unplug the computer, and make sure oil lamps and flashlights are handy.

Take care,
Vicki

Good morning Vicki, Holly and all who follow. Wanted to get a quick post in this morning, not sure if I'll get a chance to do so tonight. We are having a graduation party for two of our students tomorrow so I'll be busy tonight making beer bread, Fiesta dip, garlic dip and maybe cookies. Fortunately, the bread and dips are mixes that I bought from Tastefully Simple and I bought the cookie dough for the Turtle Cookies from a school orginaztion and all I have to do is put them on a cookie sheet. None of it will be hard to do...thank goodness. I'm usualy pretty tired by the time I get home from work so don't want to do a whole lot.

Vicki - I hope you didn't get any severe storms today.

Holly - great to see you again.

Better get going.

Sheryle

Those bread dips sound wonderful, we have never tried that brand before, Sheryle, do you mind sharing where you get yours from and which you would suggest for a newbie trying them out Question

Good morning Vicki,Holly,Sheryle and all who come later.
We're having hot weather yesterday and today. It's about 11:50 and it's already 85 degrees, will be in the low 90's today. It's suppose to cool back down to the upper 70's by this weekend.Everything is starting to look so green.Kaitlyn is wanting to plant some flowers.I told her we would go to the plant place this Friday,as she has the day off of school because Friday is Kindergarten registration day for next years students. The plant place we go to has a real redneck name-Possum Run. Rolling Eyes They have the most beautiful flowers.Kaitlyn is real excited about this ,she loves digging in the dirt. Laughing
Yesterday we surprised DD went the cake and presents. Both she and the girls loved it.We had a wonderful time.

The Diane Mott Davidson books I got on ebay so cheap came today.I can't hardly wait to read them.Right now I'm reading one of Kristin's ar books.I've gotten where I like the books she reads.I just finished reading Hatchett and Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen.I really enjoyed them. When she's through reading them I ask her questions to make sure she knows what she read before taking the ar test.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful warm and sunny day.Take care.

Hugs,
Pat

Holly - My niece had a Tastefully Simple party (I had never had their stuff before) and I got to taste several things and really liked most of what I tried. I bought the Fiesta Party dip, Garlic Garlic Dip, Spinach & Herb Dip and The Farmer's Medly Dip. I also got two cheese ball mixes: Ay Caramba (this is spicy) and Key Lime (a dessert). About the only things you need to add to the mixes are mayo, sour cream or cream cheese...can't get any easier than that! You don't have to wait for someone to have a party, you can order online at

http://www.tastefullysimple.com/Cultures/en-US/

Pat - I love Diane Mott Davidson...I ordered her newest(in paperback) from Amazon but won't get it until July. I like reading childrens books too. I'm glad your daughter and the girls enjoyed her birthday.

Have to get back to work.
