Shane: Well, with any luck it will never be video reviews so I shouldn't be too bad.
Joe: Heh. Well, I do live up the street from the liquor store that claims "the largest wine selection in Woburn". For those of you who don't know Woburn, that's like claiming to have the most butter at a Weight Watchers convention. Woburn and class are like birthday cake and Fresca. _________________ Cooking Stuff

Hey Carol, thats where we all start!!! I'v found a home at the local wine store that has tastings, and found most of the people are really not snobish. You tell em you'v just discovered wine and they start letting you sample their really good ones they bring in! I'v got to try soo many wines I would never be able to afford, but I can say, some of them are worth the $$$ (Some were just aweful, at high $$$ a bottle!)
Welcome to the club!!! _________________ http://JofussGallery.etsy.com

That's pretty much where I am too. I know Merlots are good with tomato sauce, dry whites are good in cream sauce and my girlfriend thinks they all taste like crap. _________________ Cooking Stuff

My better half also thinks all wines are just sour grapes, so I feel it's me alone that's responsible for holding the families end up in the alcohol consumption department. _________________ Carol

I'm in!!! My darn notifications stopped again today so I didn't see this until I heard about it on facebook. I usually get my links and then see what's new from there b/c I'm so lazy sometimes.
Anyway, back to wine! I am really excited about this. I'm going to get STeve involved although i can't have him actually join bakespace b/c then I won't be able to talk about him. lol _________________ MICHELE

I couldn't agree more. I've never turned down an offer of a white with a red sauce or anything like that. I was talking more about cooking with them, I don't think a chardonney would even be noticeable in a marinara for example.
But, frankly, I like my wine with anything. It's one of the few things I actually try to get my girlfriend into. I don't fuss that she doesn't like lamb, death metal or science fiction, but wine is something I really want her to like. I've managed to get her to the point where she will try a sip of anything I open, but she never likes it. At least the faces she makes are entertaining. Heh. _________________ Cooking Stuff
