Oh Boy!!! How much time have ya got....
Thanksgiving is an interesting dinner to try to pair wine... Honestly, there is no easy or right answer... when dealing with Fowl, and Savory herbal stuffing, paired with Tangy cranberries and possibly marshmallow yam dishes... You can serve just about anything from a off dry reisling or gwertztraminer to a lighter pinot noir and into Shiraz and old vine Zinfandel... Even a rose Champagne...... _________________ ~ Shane

LOL Shane that narrows it down. Thats what my problem is....its a rich dinner that seems to go with the reds...but then you have that mind set for white wine with the white meat....eeyyeeeee. Well...I'll mix the options up.
on another note...(thought this was funny...almost). I sent Dennis to get me some wine. I requested Columbia Crest Grand Estates Merlot. The liquor store didnt have it, he called, so I said that Kendall Jackson would be ok...(I've never bought kendall jackson before). He says...."ok...Kendall Jackson 2004". 2004 works for me since that was a good year for merlot (someone told me that once) Anyways, he gets home and informs me that the bottle was $20.00. yikes _________________ Danielle

I'll be honest for Turkey Day I am gonna get a table white, a table red, and maybe a Moscato D'Asti and leave it at that, people can chose from them. Luckily not many who are coming to my place drink let alone drink wine so most of it will have to be consumed by yours truly <oh>
Cant y'all tell this is a big sacrifice for me |
