I do have a Yellow Tail Shiraz.... but I'll have to wait to open it until we have friends over... I'll add it to January's tasting and bump this up with the Yellow Tail Shiraz review. _________________ ~Marguerite

DD: It's not too dry, nor too exciting. It's a good table wine, but nothing I would give to my brother, the wine guy. _________________ Cooking Stuff

Ok, if any of you like sweet, fruity Chardonnays I strongly suggest Bogle. I know Shane said that California Chards are wicked oaky, but I didn't find that to be the case with this. My girlfriend didn't even wince when she tasted it! I thought it was good and went really well with a tomato cream sauce. Whenever we wind up doing Chardonnay I will do a full review. _________________ Cooking Stuff

Thanks Bob, and I'm with Shane....adding Bogle to my list to try. (seriously, I have to write them down and take my list to the store with me, i'm such a geek lol)
Oh, and Shane reminded me of something else.....I had been trying to find a liquor store that had a good wine selection AND someone there that actually knows what they're talking about that I could develop a relationship with, you know, to help me find or choose particular wines (not just push the ones on sale) Anywho, it took me like 4 or 5 liquor stores before I finally scored. I met these two gals (one was the owner) who are there during the day (a plus because I had their undivided attention hehehehe) Sooooo, after talking with her and telling her about our wine club and that I wanted to start doing tasting parties, she said if I ever needed her to order me something specific to let her know. How cool is THAT?
Have you tried that Shane? asking if they can order what your looking for? just a thought |

OK guys.. since Pat isn't around (she's working on her house) let's do a group vote. I'll add all the players to a poll at the top of the post. We all vote today and then tomorrow morning the person with the most votes chose a new wine. |
