I know its been awhile... according to my inbox, probably last spring I was hear last. Life has just caught up with me. 2 job... hard year for the family... just trying to be super mom. Until I got super sick and spent 4 months going through blood tests.
Of course, we had a good idea of what I have, but then the husband got laid off again... and well... you know the story!
Anyways, I am driven though. I've had GREAT support from my community, and my family and I am still driving forward with my business that has nearly doubled. So much to the fact, I've had to turn away business for lack of space and hands to get it done.
We are great supporters of our local farms, so much so that the families have helped us when we were down... watched my daughter while I was in the hospital and traded for food even when they needed the money.
Now I want to do for my community what they've done for me, and GROW so I can give them what the deserve for all their hard work.
So if you could take the time to learn more about our preserving & baking business and the farmers we work with, and see how you could help... or if you could possibly share our story on facebook or twitter or email... it would be GREATLY appreciated!

BTW, the chickens and ducks work very hard around here too... they help make some of the BEST baked goods you've ever had!
Miss you guys... I will have to make time to come by more often and chat. I still come back for the recipes though, always for the great recipes! YUM _________________ Following my gardening obsession here:

Welcome back! Great to hear from you... most of the posts are in the Community Topics in the top forums areas.
Sorry to hear about your hard times... if it's any consolation, you're not alone. It's been a hard few years. I think 2012 will being about a lot more individual entrepreneurism. Or so I hope. While the web is everywhere... I think folks are going to start to figure out how to use it in their own lives. Kickstarter is a perfect example of that. No longer are we waiting for investment.. folks are telling their story and going for it. And communities are coming forward and saying their little bit (when added to the whole) can really make a difference.
Anyhow... I missed your post earlier... great to see you! |

Its been some bad years for a lot of people, that's for SURE!
Thank goodness I'm at least working part time for awhile. Still loving my chickens and my silly farming way of life. Kickstarter has been a blessing, but we're way off goal with only days left. :p Fingers crossed for last minute help or notice. We're trying to share locally but after the holiday people just aren't able to give.
Pam suggested I move this to the breakfast forum, but I don't see how to move to a post once its been posted. I was thinking of just copying and moving it and you can delete this one since its in the wrong area? _________________ Following my gardening obsession here:
