GOD MORNING AND HAPPY WEEK-END GIRLS.....I'm on my way out the door to get our hair cut, visit Jim's Parents, do lunch, then go to the grocery store! I'll be pooped for sure! Tiffany is coming by today to clean, she'll be here while we're gone, so I won't be able to see the kids. Cody wanted to mow, but we had pretty bad storms late last nite, so I figure the grass is soaked. I told Tiffany maybe he could do it Monday when I have the kids when she goes to the gym.
Well, gonna get my shoes on and head out. Wishing everyone a Beautiful day! HUGS! _________________ Debbie

Happy weekend everybody
I had a busy day so far, stocking up my fridge with goodies, mentally preparing for Easter, sipping coffee and chatting outside, doing laundry and helping out a bit at the pet shop. I even forgot all about lunch, so I decided on an early dinner at 4 o'clock. Made my self some chicken livers and bacon in onion gravy with an endive potato mash as a side. Turned out quite yummy.
The weather is still very chilly and for tonight we will get close to freezing point. Luckily it's windy, so my laundry dries like mad.
Debbie, sounds like a busy Saturday for you and Jim. But it must be wonderful to go and see Jim's parents. Have a fun day
I'm still pondering about eggs, I'm thinking of an egg mousse either with bacon or with pastirma on toast. Could be nice for breakfast tomorrow morning. First I need to do my ironing though and make my bed before I can go back to the kitchen and play. TTYL _________________ Fanmajie

Hey Y'all:
My furbrats are doing fine, Rosie no longer has bad breath & Max has healed completely.
A quick diddy about the hamster on steriods....someone brought in males & females & I guess when they got too big to take care of....like every other invasive species they turned them loose These critters have been in direct conflict with our native Muskrat for years & in many areas the are no more muskrats only the Capy. Typical stupidity.
Take no offense to this but my friend has a long jacket made out of Capy's....her husband bought it in South America while on a hunting trip & smuggled it back into the U.S. She has never worn it & has probably gotten rid of it since her husband died. Will have to ask next time I talk with her.
Y'all take care...

Hi nubbins, glad to hear your furbabies are doing so well. I agree with you on the capibara. People just don't know what they are getting into by taking in non-native wild animals. And as soon as it's becoming a problem, they simply put it outside. _________________ Fanmajie

Hi Everybody!
Nothing new here. The weather is still hovering just above freezing and cloudy. If I had to pick one or the other... I'd rather have the sunshine than the 80 degree temps, but having NEITHER is really crappy.
Nubbins - A capybara isn't the same as a guinea pig , even though they look similar.... right? I've never seen one, except in a picture or on TV. Do they really run wild in Florida? They wouldn't last long up here in NY, I would think! That would freak me out to see one of them in the back yard. The thought of a coat made out of them...Eeewwww!!
Fan - You're a busy girl today! Shopping, doing laundry, helping at the pet shop.... your dinner looks delicious! (Love liver!! )
Debbie - Hope you didn't wear yourself out with all the running around you did today. You'll sleep tonight!
My mother has been bemoaning the fact that they don't make flannel nightgowns or ANY nightgowns that are long anymore. I was in Sears yesterday (a place I hardly ever go!) and I saw flannel nightgowns on clearance sale!! I was so excited, I bought her two and I couldn't wait to take them to her. This morning when I talked to her, I asked how she slept in her nice warm new nightgown. She said "Oh, they're too nice to sleep in, I hung them on a hanger in the closet." I GIVE UP!!!
Hi to everybody else out there.... have a nice weekend. _________________ -----Martha |

Good morning everybody, have a smashing Sunday
I had planned on tracking some flowers this morning despite of the frosty weather, but after I had finished showering it started showering outside.
Really weird weather today with extremely bright spells and occasional clouds, but every cloud turns into a shower as soon as it is right above my neighbourhood. Should I flee the city?
Spent some time playing in the kitchen and made my egg mousse. I've had it on toast and topped it with crispy bacon. Yum!
Martha, I had to laugh about your mum's nightgown. My granddad used to say something similar about the new shirts my aunties were buying for him. He used to save them for Sundays . They were too nice for daily use. _________________ Fanmajie

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS.......Anyone catch my TYPE-O in the greeting from yesterday morning? I type "GOD" instead of GOOD....I knew one day I'd do that and you can tell I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't take time to Proof Read my speeling.....
Yesterday Jim and I were on the go for a total of 12 1/2 hrs. ....home long enough to stop in and feed the fur-babies. I don't go out much, so I wanted to make sure that I was able to go visit to Jim's parents. Jim's dad pretty much sat in his chair and slept and I guess he does that alot anymore. He's like me and can't sleep through the nite for all his pain. Anyway it was a good visit and after we left there we went to the Movie to see "The Hunger Game". The movie kept my interest, meaning I didn't fall asleep, but I can't decide if I thought it was a good movie. Kinda sad in lots of ways, bur good in others. It has gotten ALOT of good reviews and has brought in ALOT of money at the box office. Went to eat a bite, then to Wal-Mart to get some groceries. I need to do some checking about writing the home office of Wal-Mart , as I need to complain. They are getting really bad about being out of alot of things that we buy weekly. Most shelves are empty too and I just want them to know how aggravating it is and that they are NOT the only grocery store around. Anyway BOTH of us were pooped and my legs, especially my right leg and foot hurt really really bad. No sleep for me at all last nite!
Jim got called out to work. We had plans today and the dispatcher called and said a customer was down in Maryland...3 1/2 hr drive away. Well the Tech that covers that area didn't answer his phone, in fact no one answers their phone on week-ends except Jim! He said he would much rather spend the day with me, but a man has to do what a mad does and that's work. I think the company takes too much advantage of Jim's work ethics, ya know?
So I'm not sure what I'm going to do today. Tiffany might come in town and let Cody mow today. She's also planning on fixing a nice meal when mat gets off work at 4, so she Might fix it here. She's fixing Fried Ham and Ham gravy.......YUM, one of my Favorite meals! I might do some reading. I'm in the mood to read, but Usually fall asleep when trying to read.
I really need to get my legs elevated, I'll do personals another time. I thinking about each and everyone of you. have a good day! HUGS!
