Morning,

WOW!! What beautiful weather we had yesterday!! The local temp was to be up around 78º...today into the 80's. Smile Woohoo!!! Was good to come home with the windows down in the car.

Right now there is so much construction on the road that I go to work on, thankfully not so much in the AM, but yesterday it was terrible. Traffic was backed up at the light, got in the other lane to by-pass that mess...came home a different route.

Fan - oh yes, we made spaghetti the other night. I plopped in the spaghetti sauce and I looked at Jim, "Oh, I got it dirty!" Very Happy Laughing These pots & pans should last us forever now.

Vicki - I have some tulips that are just now blooming...and my neighbors tulips have bloomed and already dying.

Better get around here, need to brush my teeth and see what the furkids are up to.

Take care,
Ann

Hi Ann-Marie and everybody else, have smashing day Very Happy

Ann-Marie, so the spaghetti sauce had the honour of being first to get into the pot Laughing Drive carefully with all the road constructions.
Had a very sleepy day at the office, it was so difficult to keep my eyes open Rolling Eyes . Luckily I only have a half day tomorrow. Need the other half to do my household chores, since I'll be working on Saturday Very Happy . And I have to prepare a B-day gift for my Japanese sis. Bought her some strawberry cups, but it needs careful wrapping to arrive safely in Japan. Gotta go and check whether I need to buy wrapping material tomorrow or not.

GOOD AFTERNOON GIRLS.......Sorry I missed you all yesterday. I was on for a short bit, even started a post, then had company and then Tiffany, Mat and the little kids came by, Tiffany was going to clean, then I had to watch the kids, while they went to the bank.....never got back here.

Today is a gorgeous day, up to 87*, with a nice light breeze. If my porch EVER gets cleaned off, I'd go set outside and read and listen to the birds sing!. I was telling Jim of some of my plans to start "Spring Cleaning", starting with the living room...so we'll see how far that conversation goes.

I'm in one of those I want to cook, but I don't want to cook. Has anyone ever been in one of those funks? Like today I had planned on making Chicken casserole and a veggie, took the chicken out of the freezer this morning, it's at this time, still FROZEN, so I talked my lazy a$$ self into something easier, Grilled Cheese or an Omelet. Still haven't made that New Dessert I want to make.

About the Concert Tuesday night. First of all, I prayed that we would make it there and back home safely, I prayed that my leg and foot wouldn't hurt so bad that it kept me from having a relaxing good time and I prayed for No bathroom accidents.....all my prayers came to be and I thanked God several times for being there for Us! Back to the concert...It was put on by Trans-Siberiean Orchestra and they did "Beethovens's last Night", plus after it was over they jammed some Rock and Roll for another 45 mins! We had amazing seats too. I'll see if Jim can put a few of the pics. on here for me. If you all ever get the chance to see them, Do it, you will NOT be disappointed!

**ANN, Love those Stainless Steel pans huh? I wouldn't have any other kind. I know QVC is always showing a new Brand of Pots and Pans, really pretty colors too, but in a year or so, they will not hold up like a stainless as far of cooking or clean up. What pattern of Corell did you get? A few yrs. ago I bought the Sq. white with the black stripe through it, the modern look, didn't like them, I'm more a a girl that wants some color to her pretties. I gave them to Jim's Mom and bought me some stoneware that has RED Poppies on them. I like that "Fur-kids" My one furkid is not feeling well, I told Jim we need to get him to the Vet.

**VICKI< The sound of Burgers and Potato Salad makes me hungry and want to definitely set on the porch while Jim is grilling!

**FAN, Is Myo afraid of storms? Andy cat doesn't care for them, but doesn't freak out over them. Now Kujo the dog does, he howls and paces the floor, has a real anxiety attach.

**PAT, Sounds like the "Fur-Brats" got some yummies the other day. Nice that they were on sale. Always good to find meat on sale too. What your Fav. thing to order from Dominos? Their new Cheesy Bread sticks are very good. Fattening but good. How's Vernon doing. Still doing well with that new Med?

**PATTI, Love that Potters Bench. Now question, what are the long cut outs on the table part used for? That was very nice for your son to get that for you. Was it an early Mother's Day gift? You bought a nice group a Herbs. And how lucky that you had someplace to "Play in the Dirt" with them. House full of company i say yes you really did. I know how happy that made you though. I so use to love it, still do, put can't do anything to be involved in getting ready for it. I know you did , even through the pain. Now what's this with the magazine? Hope you have good luck happy them not charge you and discontinuing it. How it go at the DOCTORS today? Give you a different kind of Med. I've been thinking about going to a pain clinic. Seems our Family doctors can't help us. We know what Constant Pain is like and it sure can get old, trying to deal with it. About Jim sleeping, he has a sinus infection and allergies in the spring, is one reason he has been having a hard time sleeping. BUT I have told him he needed a sleep study done on him too, as I thought he had sleep apnea. I Did resist temptation on Sunday when I was watching In the Kitchen with David. However I watched it a little last nite and they had the Sirloin Steaks that Jim and I love on sale with no S/H, so I ordered them and had them put on Auto Delivery. These Sirloins are only 4oz. and they are seasoned with herbs and garlic, very good flavor and fork tender. If you are thinking of portion control good size for that, baked potato or salad and it a nice size meal. But they can be used for other things to like Fajitas, put on a salad, make a steak sandwich from them, just to name a few. There has been too many times I've bought steaks at the store and they are tough and no good flavor.

Well, I guess I had better get off here, gotta go thru some Meds we got today. I need to gather up all my receipts and send them in to the Insurance, so they can refund me my money. Hope everyone has a good relaxing evening and a peaceful nites sleep too. HUGS!

Hi Debbie, glad to hear you had such a good time at the concert. I'll try to check that troupe out on the Internet. Myo is not really afraid of storms, but on guard. As long as I sit down quietly she doesn't care. Same goes for the vacuum cleaner. She positions her self on the stairs or the table and tries to ignore me and that "horrible thing", but she isn't afraid of it. What's up with Andy?

Good Afternoon, Friends!

With summertime temperatures/humidity, we're having another summertime meal... using no stove or oven. Meat/grilled, corn on the cob/microwaved, salad/refrigerator, and fresh fruit. My parents brought freshly picked Arizona oranges that we are enjoying... what a treat!

Ann - What Corelle pattern did you get? Some of my Corelle is 30+ and 20+ years old. How nice that you still have tulips blooming.

Fan - You have a lovely birthday gift for your Japanese sis.

Debbie - What a nice concert Tuesday evening. You have warmer temperatures than me.

Waving to all!
~~Vicki

Hi Everybody!
We are having the nice weather here too! I actually sat out on my deck and read the paper today. Mowed the lawn.... it's supposed to rain tonight.

Last night I went to my daughter's for dinner. Afterwards, she colored and cut my hair and did my nails... so I got the full treatment!! She said that I do so much for her that she wanted to do something for me. Awwwww....

I'm still recovering from all the company I had last week, I guess. I haven't been cooking or baking anything. Just enjoying the weather and reading and being lazy!

Good evening everyone. I am headed for bed soon, but thought I would check in. My neurologist, had me trying a new medicine. You know how they come out with a d*rug and then find out it helps with other problems. She has me starting out on a high dose of Cym*balta, which I didn't understand but it says one of the things it will help with his neuropathy. She gave me a card to try it for free to see if it helps. I got a scolding for not calling and telling them that I am in a lot of pain. I really want to be able to enjoy the beach when we go later this month, so I will be more likely to call if this doesn't help.
We went today and got the plants for the veggie garden, and a few flowers to fill out the flower beds. I also got some paw prints stepping stones for in the front flower bed, they are Madison's school districts emblem for a lack of a better term. We remembered the snap dragons for Madison this year, we had them for her every year since she has been born, but we forgot last year. She of course was sad that we had forgotten. Hubby got the flowers planted and the paw prints laid where we want them. The veggie garden will have to wait for another day.
We also dropped in on SIL to see how she was doing today after her second carpal tunnel surgery. Good thing we did, she was trying to make a grilled cheese and couldn't figure out a good way to get it to the pan, and she couldn't get a can of fruit open. I stayed with her yesterday but it was a battle to get her to let me help her with anything.
We stopped at the butcher shop on the way home and got a huge beef brisket for Mother's Day and other meat that we needed.
When I got home, oops, forgot we went to the grocery store also, anyway, I did not feel up to doing anything else. But of course I did. I made us creamed new potatoes and peas that we had gotten at the market the other day. It is a tradition that my family always did in the spring. I hate stringing all the peas, but it is worth it in the end. Hubby had a piece of ham with his.
I guess I have you all caught up with me, now to chat with everyone else.

**Ann, seems like it is the time of year for construction, SIL had warned us yesterday of the construction in the parking lot at the grocery store but we forgot and went the wrong way.
I hope you like your stainless steel cookware as much as I like mine. If you don't already know, Bar Keepers Friend is great to clean them with and make them look brand new again. Some thing leave mineral deposits and that takes them right off. I am with everyone else, what pattern of Correlle did you get?
**Fan, that looked like a perfectly cooked egg on top of that great looking stew. Hope your storms have all cleared up from the other day.
**Debbie, about the potting bench, I have had mine for years, and it actually has the slats the whole way across, I think it make it easier to clean off the dirt you spill etc. I had it out back on the deck under the roof, but that would not be a good place for growing plants. Hubby is still fussing about it, saying it looks out of place.
You lucky girl, that is one of the concerts I have always wanted to see. I love their music. God was good to you, wasn't he? I think our prayers sound a lot alike.
About the house full of company, I didn't know they were all coming, so I didn't really do much but bake cupcakes. I had bought some Biscoff spread and wanted to try it in icing. It was a big hit. Now hopefully I can find some more because I would like find some to give to my SIL.
How is Jim doing? I forget now, did he go to the Dr.s?
**Vicki, isn't it nice to have the summery meals again? We are having hamburgers on the grill tomorrow and will cook some asparagus on the grill also.
I used to live in Arizona, of course at the time I didn't give it a second thought about how amazing it was to just go out in the yard and pick oranges etc. I don't miss the bugs that are out there though.
Sounds like you had a terrific weekend with lots to celebrate.
**Martha, what a nice treat from your daughter, it is nice to be appreciated isn't it? It has been nice weather for reading and being lazy, enjoy it.
**Pat, that toy that you bought, I keep thinking about getting one for Madison as a joke, she is fascinated by roadkill?? If I can find one that looks like a squirrel I will have to get it. What bread store do you like? I bought a loaf of whole grain wheat at the Amish market the other day and it was quite disappointing. I decided to tear it up for stuffing/filling and put it in the freezer. Taking it easy for a while, or are you up to a new project?
**Karen, hello to you if you are reading. Haven't seen Sheryle or Carolyn for a while either.

Hubby is sawing logs rather heavily, and my eyes are feeling the same way, heavy that is. Guess I will head for bed.

Hey there:

Let's see if I can remember all Pattit's ??
The bread store I mentioned is called Flowers & you can get brand name breads at a discount. ie. 2 for 4.00 I buy 4 loaves & freeze them, when thawed they look & taste just like fresh.

DH is still doing good on the new meds.

The toy I buy for Rosie used to be advertised on tv but you can get it cheaper at PetSmart it's called Crazy Critters. I have an xtra one up on the counter I keep for a spare. If I bring home a new one & forget to get it out of the bag she always find it & runs off with it in her mouth. I'll be putting things away & suddenly hear squeeking, I have to find her & remove the hanger thingy from it before she tears into that. Funny to watch. You could probably go on Petsmart website & look it up, see if it would work for you.

Gotta go read everything else I have missed...

Take care...
