Happy weekend everyone!!

Well our run of warm temps has finally plummeted. Sad It's actually kind of cold out there again, and damp. Was hoping with the 3 days that I have off would be nice out, yeah right. Confused Mad

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

GOOD MORNING ANN & OTHERS.......ANN, our weather has been up and down for several weeks now. For a few days it will be close to 90*, then it'll go down to the 40's! The AC is on the off. Blankets are on me or off me! I guess that's Spring for ya, but never have noticed the temps being so extremely different. And the rain, heck you never know when a Spring storm is going to pop up. But for your 3 days off, surely the weather will end up being nice and you and Jim can get out and do some fun things!

Went to bed at around 11 and I slept all nite long! I didn't wake up until 6:30 and it so rare for me to sleep all nite long. As a result of that, I feeling pretty good and ready for the day to begin! Get a shower and get started. Well, I need to fed Andy first, his setting reminding me that he's hungry. The day has two different way to go: 1) go to the Movie with Jim, visit his Parents, and then Sams and Walmart OR 2) Tiffany is coming over this morning so Cody can mow which I know he can't because it's too wet, Go to Sams and Walmart with her out to lunch and go to the cemetery to put new flowers on Moms grave......Jim will go for a Motorcycle ride. He doesn't want to go, because we had already made plans and he didn't want to leave me alone. I told him we could always see the movie tomorrow and Tiffany was coming over I could hang out with her and the kids for awhile. Anyway, I'm headed that way to wake his buns up, so we can get busy.

**KAREN, Nice to see you drop in. We really miss you! Sorry you had to drive through slot of rain on your way to NC. I hate driving in the rain. We went to Charleston the other nite and on the way home there was a little part of the drive where it rained so hard that we went from 70 to 40 with our flashers on...I would have rather taken an exit and pulled off. Jordan's 1st Communion...Wow that's a Big thing!

**PATTI, I'm going to give Fresh Asparagus on the grill a try. The Chicken Casserole was good...the smell of the Chicken was driving Andy crazy though...LOL! Poor Madison grounded from the May Fair. Your like me, hate to see them get grounded. Tiffany is pretty hard on grounding Cody. The other 2 kids are just as mischiefiest as Cody and really more so. Cody gets misunderstood and Tiffany tunes him out by saying I don't want to hear it and he keeps trying to talk to her and that leads up to a week in his room grounding. I told Jim I thought I'd have a talk to her, because in calm situations or normal conversation (which is what she needs to have with him or any of the kids) he will tell ME things that are on his mind that bother him. I told her one day that to get RESPECT you need to give respect too. Tiffany is really a good Mother, but needs to back off on some things. She can't see it because she's too close to the situation. I also want to use the pharse that Dr. Phil uses...."Is what your doing working out good for you?"Anyway sorry for the rambling , but I know how you feel when Madison gets grounded.

FAN, Hope your neighbor has a good sale today. You'll be over helping him out huh? I hope the weather is good and no rain today for you all! I have noticed that Andy drinks more water than usual, so I'll tell the Vet that. He seems to act a bit better as of yesterday.

Well. it's after 8, I need to get Jim up and get this day started. Have a great Saturday and Hello to All that stop in. HUGS!

Good Morning, Friends!

Last night we enjoyed visiting with Karl's mom over five hours... a lot of catch up on since last fall. She made a delicious chicken curry soup that I hope to make soon. This morning Karl is doing yard work and I'm doing inside work. (I'm glad you like the pictures/graphics).

Ann - Our temperatures have dropped, too. I'm not complaining, though... late tulips are still blooming.

Debbie - Great news to read that you slept all night.

Fan
- Are you going to have a chance to celebrate National Liberation Day, or are you working? Are you going to be able to share pictures?

Karen - Congratulations on your granddaugher's First Communion. If the Guild plans the Tulip Time trip, would you be coming, too?

PattiT - Yes, my MIL goes to Florida every winter and stays with Karl's sister's family. You mentioned that you grilled asparagus. Do you parboil the asparagus and/or baste it while grilling?

Time to get back to work!
~~Vicki

PS - May 5... what a lot of holidays and celebrations: National Liberation Day, Cinco de Mayo, Kentucky Derby, and Tulip Time. Any more???

Hi everybody, have a smashing weekend Very Happy

I'm pooped and frozen. The weather kind of held up today, clouded and cold but no rain. Quite a lot of people passing by, but no big sales records for us nor for the adjacent stands. Felt kind of sorry for the kids trying to sell their toys, because it was really cold. Nevertheless it was a fun day Smile
Vicki, being Saturday today the majority of the people in the Netherlands had a chance to celebrate. So I was able to help out my neighbour. I did take pics today and you can find them at http://www.flickr.com/photos/41961904@N03/
BTW lovely tulip picture Very Happy
Debbie, glad to hear you slept so well and I hope it has been a fun day.
Ann-Marie, I know what you mean. Last Monday I was walking around in shorts and after Wednesday I needed my coat again. Today was only about 11C and I've been drinking a lot of coffee to stay warm, even escaped for half an hour to warm up in the hair salon opposite of my house to warm up while I was having a badly needed haircut.
I'm ging horizontally for now and try to warm up my nest before I fall to pieces. See you tomorrow.

Hey Y'all:

I don't think my dog Max has a brain. Heard him barking up a storm & I didn't like the sound of it. Went out to find him & he was grabbing a large (over 4 feet) snake. Now he has done this before manuvers to grab the snake behind the head & shakes it over & over til it dies. This one was a bit bigger than usual & he was having a problem with it. I ran back to the house, yelled for GS to grab the shotgun that Max had a snake. On my way back out the door I grabbed the .22 rifle & headed back to Max. When I could get him away from the snake I put 5 shots in it, that slowed him down then GS blew its' head off with buckshot. Never a dull moment around here. Checked Max & he was not bitten, thank goodness because most of the snakes here are venomous.

Well, here I am up all night again. Last nite Rosie would wake me up every 20 mins. or so until I finally gave it up & layed down on the couch about 5:45am. She finally left me alone & I slept until 12:30 today. Have no idea why I can't sleep tonite.

Gonna go,

Y'all take care...

Good morning everyone,

Fan - the cold air always makes me tired.

The weather here ended up being really nice in the afternoon, but that darned wind kept it quite chilly. Sad Beautiful sun shine and blue sky all day, went to walk out to my car and it's like "BRR!" The local weatherman saying in the 60's most of this week, rain in the forecast too. Hope this isn't going to be our forecast for summer too...damp, cold and rainy. Sad Sad Did that a 3 or 4 years ago, only had a few days of 90º weather.

Haven't been busy at work, everyone going home. Which is a GOOD thing! Only have 6 or 7 of the little critters there.

Looking forward to my 3 days off, which start tomorrow...WOOHOO!!! Very Happy

Has anyone heard from Sheryle lately??

Hope everyone has an awesome day!
Ann

Tis me again:

Debbie asked me a question & I forgot to answer her. My favorite thing to order from Dominoes is the extra large Philly Cheese Steak pizza, GS always gets the Memphis Bar-B-Q. We eat off them for days. Haven't tried anything else from there yet.

Take care...

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE.......Got up about 7:30, so the nite was good. Slept almost through the nite, up a few times to tinkle, but we had a late dinner and I had 2 glasses of Ice Tea, so that could be the reason Rolling Eyes ! Looks like we are going to have a Beautiful day today, in the mid 80's with Sunshine! Yesterday we had Rain off and on all day and through the nite and when it rained it rained hard...fog set in early and it was a eerie nite with that Big Full Moon! Did anyone else check it out? Before dinner we drove outside the city lights to get the true effect from it, I must say I have seen it much larger than it was last nite. Oh well it was adventurous and then we went to a Mexican restaurant for their Cinco de Mayo celebration. Of course their Margaritas were on sale, but we stuck to our Ice tea. I don't care for Margaritas anyway. We both had a really good meal and I'm ready to go back there. Went to the movies in the late afternoon, seen ADVENGERS...Jim likes those kind of movies and I guess they are Ok. I don't know if it was because it was Saturday, rainy and New movie releases, but the movies was packed. I've never seen it sooo busy. When we came out of the movie there was a line outside the theater doors half way down one side of the Mall. We made it to Sams for some paper supplies, Paper plates, cups and toliet tissue. I did buy a big pkg of Round Steak, with hopes that I can fix a nice Bake Steak dinner soon. So that was OUR day...what did you all do?

**ANN, I don't know what made me think your 3 days off started yesterday. Oh well, one good thing maybe there be no rain. If it's chilly and windy, maybe you can try out some new recipes on Jim. Six little critters huh? The big siege of all visiting at the same time has slowed down. Wonder if they will cut your hours? I hope not.

**FAN, Check out your pictures. Looked like everyone had alot of stuff to sell. Wonder if things were moving slow in the way of sales because it was so chilly? Of course money there is probably like money here....getting tight. With the HIGH cost of everything from Utilities , Food , Insurance , Medicine, and Gas for our cars it doesn't leave too much extra for the fun stuff does it? Glad you got a chance to slip in out of the cold and get your hair cut.

**PAT, Never a dull moment at your place is it? I"m a chicken I would have been to scared to see why the dog was barking. But like you said you could tell by his bark just about what he was into. Glad he didn't get bite and you guys too. I've never tried their Philly Cheesesteak pizza.....might have to give it a try.

Well, it's going on 9:00 and Kujo is in his room whining to go out and tinkle and then for his week-end car ride to McDondalds. They give him a doggie treat there. He didn't get to do that yesterday and he knew it too. Hello to everyone stopping in today. Hope you have a fun and or a relaxing day planned. I'll chat with you later. HUGS!
