Morning everyone,

Whew, already hot and humid here this morning. Talked to my Sis last night, she is going to bring her granddaughter up and we are going to the creek to play in the water. Went over last night, told Jim if I didn't have my camera I think I would have "accidentally" fell in. Wink Found a really nice clean and clear hole in the creek to play in, should be up to my hips. A lot of the creek is so low from no rain. They are already telling people to cut back on watering their lawns and washing their cars.

Fan - yes, I think Toes would adjust well to being inside. He wants in here so bad, he'll sit and meow through the deck doors, wanting in.

Pat/nubs - will have to check out the video. Emailed my cousin that lives on the other side of FL from you, haven't heard nothing from her yet.

Guess I'll get around here, really enjoying that Debbie Macomber book, it's from the Cedar Cove series.

Later,
Ann

GOOD MORNING GIRLS, It's been a slow morning for me, as I don't feel very good today. I'm got a very nervous feeling and some fluttering in my chest, kinda scarey...I'm just going to lay around today and see if I feel better.

I was watching our local news this morning and the weather man says 100* today and 102* tomorrow! Those are crazy temps! Jim went for a short motorcycle ride after dinner last nite and came back and said how hot it was. I'll just stay inside where it's comfortable!

**ANN, Are you and Jim doing OK without an AC? I really don't know how you do it when it gets this hot. I guess it's whatever you get use to. About your kitty Toes, I so appreciate that you thought about Jim and I taking him, BUT I really have to say NO. Jim and I are Both animal lovers and it pains us to see them die and we said after Andy and Kujo pass we wouldn't get another animal. We've already been offered the kitty that Jim found in our building a several weeks ago and we said no thank you. I love Debbie Macomber books. I have several, but i don't think I have all of them of one series...I plan on working on that too. Are you going to read the whole series? I went to her web site and seen how many books were in each series.

Well, Hello to all you other girls, I think I'm going to go lay down. Have a good day everyone. HUGS!

Hi guys. I figured it was high time I check in over here if for no other reason than to make sure Karen, Nubbins, Martha, Fan, etc. are still amongst the living since I don't see you on FB/Twitter or my blog. Crying or Very sad

Just being facetious - I know if something had happened to one of you, Vicki, Patti, Debbie, Carolyn, or Ann would have told me. I really do miss you guys. Sad

Nothing terribly exciting going on with me. The job is still part time, the weather is extremely hot, my cooking/blogging is still up and down. Not easy to be consistent with that when you're not the only cook in the house. It's still fun though, but way too much stuff to keep up with - following other blogs, keeping up with them, cooking, taking pics, editing the pics, uploading posts, responding to comments, e-mails, etc. I guess that explains why so many blogs involve more than one person. Wink

OK, gotta get back to work. I'm in the office today, but you were all on my mind, so I wanted to pop in. Just so happened to see a b-day post (a little early, but funny timing since I haven't stopped in for so long!)

Hi everybody, have a smashing Friday Very Happy

Babette, have fun in Toronto. Cool
Ann-Marie, stay cool and I hope you do take it slow and easy on your last day of vacation.
Debbie, take good care of your self
Chris, it also explains why I'm not blogging. Far too many things to do
Laughing
Like today first the office, couldn't finish in time, stayed longer, ran home, cleaned downstairs, read the newspaper, started cooking, but went out for dinner,
, watched the water parade,

got home, started the laundry, loaded up my pics in the meantime and just a few minutes ago finished the pics and hang the laundry outside. I need another two hours in a day in order to set up a blog I guess Wink

{{{Debbie}}} - that's ok about Toes, I understand. Smile Yes, we have AC in our big upstairs bedroom, run it at night so I can get decent sleep.

Fan -awesome picks as usual!! Love the sharpness.

Chris - glad you peeked in..you've been missed.

Called my sister last night to see what she was doing today, seems she just started her vacation so invited her up to go swimming with us over at Elk Creek. She brought her grand daughter (8 yrs) with her...had a ball. Came back and ate then left again to swim for 3 more hours!! Very Happy Told Sis that we will ALL sleep good tonight!!

Tomorrow is my first day back to work, going to be hard after having all these days off. But on the other hand, I like my job so it won't be so bad. Smile

Leo stayed down here while we had company, Willow hid upstairs. I went up to change and I was talking to Willow, had to laugh at her, she "shivered" her tail, like she was saying "there are people in my house that I don't know!" OH!! Took a really cute pic of Willow yesterday laying on the recliner, sent it to the local news man and he put it on yesterday afternoon. Very Happy Very Happy He says, "Willow trying to keep cool." He also says, "she is a beautiful tortoiseshell calico." Was mildly surprised when he said that, not a lot of people know what "torties" are. Smile

Hope everyone keeps cool, guess we are to get rain/t-storms tonight.

Take care,
Ann

Evening Everyone,

Well, down to the 48 hours of my busy weekend. We are going on the bus to the Ordination and then back to the hall to set up for Sunday's reception. It's kinda hot here......that's putting it mildly. Now we are having a little thunder storm. Oops, there's the lightening.....I just iced 10 dozen of the chocolate cookies I made. I still want to make a couple trays of zucchini appetizers and make hot sausage so we have something to eat for lunch on Sunday.

Chris, nice to see you checking in. I guess there are still a few of us who aren't on Facebook.....I am on Twitter, but don't go there much either.

Fan, are those men dressed as women on the one barge?
