Morning,

Weird getting up on a Thursday, I am usually off. The girl that usually works it needed off and the other tech will be on her way to Alaska some time today. Told her to take LOTS of pictures!! Smile

We got lots of new critters in yesterday, was busy all day long. The neighbor gave me a pedometer and I did "steps" yesterday, by the time I punched out I did 19,000+ steps!! Shocked No wonder my feet and legs are so tired or they hurt. Today I am going to set it for miles. Will be interesting since I work a 12 hour day today. Smile

They are saying Fri & Sat are to be "steamy," that's ok, we'll go swimming at the creek or maybe we can go over to the beach for a little bit to get cooled off.

Called the girl that usually cuts my hair, she trimmed it for me yesterday. It hasn't been cut since I had that bump removed...was long and shaggy. She tapered the back so that it is off my neck, feel so gooooood!!

Better get around here, need to go brush my teeth and get my lunch ready.

Take care,
Ann

GOOD MORNING ANN and OTHERS .........I got a little more sleep last nite and managed to sleep until 5:30! Kujo is already whinning that he needs to go tinkle, so I'll get Cody up and we'll take him out real quick. Alsp need to wake Jim up here in a few minutes. Tiffany is coming over this morning and we're going out to breakfast, make a fast run to Wal-Mart, then home so she can clean....then I'm on my own when they all leave....Cody needs to go home today, he has to get ready to decorate a float for the Scouts to be in a Homecoming Parade Saturday!

OK, here's the scoop on Jim. Went to the Ortho doctor and he told him that Yes you have a broken foot BUT with this boot and some restrictions like limited time on foot, no climbing, and light duty...you can go back to WORK! I was so upset. I'm so afraid he'll damage it more or have serious problems down the road where it didn't heal right. Jim said the doctor acted like he really didn't know alot...he was a traveling doctor...YIKES! Anyway, then the went to a place that made braces and ect. to get the boot and was there for hours because of payment of the boot.....waiting for the Insurance Co to approve it. I told Jim, Just go ahead and pay for it (175.00) and they can re-reimburse us...no didn't do and they were there until 3:30! Sooooo please pray that Jim's foot heals OK!

I was soooo tired that, I could hardly think straight and my knees felt like they were made of Concrete and it took alot of effort to walk! We ordered Pizza for dinner so I wouldn't have to cook and just when I thought I could be lazy the rest of the nite, Cody ask if we had all the ingredients to make DIRT Pudding. He said I wouldn't have to do anything, he could do it, so I got everything out and he started and of course I had to help. It was Delicious!

Well, Jim is about finished in the bathroom, I better close in case he needs me to help him with his sock on that broken foot and I need to fix his Meds. Jim just drove off, headed to work, hope he doesn't OVER-DO! Now I need to go get ready to go to the store, it's ALREADY HOT out there....YUCK! Hope EVERYONE has an AWESOME Day! HUGS!

Good morning ladies....I have the day off so thought I'd pop in and say hello. Have fun at work Ann. Deb...I hope Jims foot heals properly.

Quick question...hope someone will know....I'm going to can some peppers. I don't have canning salt. I don't even know where to buy that around here. I have table salt, sea salt and kosher salt. Can I use any of those?

Hi everybody, have a brilliant day Laughing

Debbie, really hope Jim's boss cares and gives him some light stuff to do. Can he ask for a half day start for this week and next week building it up after that?
Ann-Marie, are you going to tell us how many miles you do in a 12 hour day? I'm dead curious.
Danielle, glad to see you posting. How have you been? Must be nice having a day off. About the salt, I think any salt will do. I don't think canning salt existed when people started canning for the first time, so kosher salt or table salt should be fine.

I'm feeling kind of naked. Today I went back to the photoshop again and recklessly ordered a new lens for my camera Shocked And since it is the newest version of it, it's not widely available yet, meaning a delivery time of a couple of weeks.Sad . Bankruptcy postponed Laughing.
At the shop I suddenly remembered having a service card which entitled me to a proper cleaning and check up of my camera. So I left my camera at the shop, praying the man to do it as soon as he could. He told he'd try to do it before closing time on Saturday and otherwise it would become next Monday or Wednesday. Means no new pics for a couple of days, I'll may have to keep you entertained by dishing up the old ones Wink Can't imagine going to the office tomorrow without my camera. Crying or Very sad

Hey Fan.....being without your camera is going to be tough....especially since you use it so much! I'd feel like that if I left my itouch or cell at home for the day. Hopefully it'll be ready sooner than later.

I haven't been up to much. Same stuff day in and day out. I have a lot of vacation days piled up and if I don't use some, I'll stop earning them by mid September...which is when I'd apparently reach my max of 4 weeks. sooo...I took off a couple of days this week and will take a week off at the end of the month. I don't have the money to go anywhere so I've been puttering around the house, doing a little cooking and baking and spending a lot of time floating around in the pool. Thanks for the salt tip. I'll just see which I have the most of and use that. Probably the kosher salt. I was going to do the canning today but after reading the instructions, the peppers need to soak in the saltwater mix for about 18 hrs Shocked sooo...looks like that will be my weekend project. I have a bunch of banana peppers that I've picked from the garden.

Anything exciting going on around here?

From this side of the ocean nothing spectacular, apart from the fact that it is exactly a year ago today that I was on the surgeon's table. Laughing
I kind of have the same problems with my vacation days. I'm trying to get rid of them by shortening my working week by two hours each week. It does help a little, cause I can't afford going somewhere for 6 weeks anyway.
Do you have a recipe for canning peppers?

Oh wow....a year ago today? Are you back to your pre-surgery self now? I do have a recipe. I haven't tried it yet. Jen Schafer shared it with me. She uses it all the time so I'm sure it'll be wonderful. My banana peppers are hot though so I'll be adding a red pepper or two to each jar to spice things up.
