Morning everyone,

PattiT - no email from you. Sad

Vicki - we really haven't had the bugs either, thankfully!! They were saying because of such a light winter we would be bugged by bugs! Laughing We always have spiders every season of the year. That bug surprised me since it was up here, seen them lots in the basement when I've cleaned it.

Martha - yep, we have exterminators too, but these two deal in spiders and flies mostly. Very Happy Very Happy

Fan - ugh, getting to be that time of year - college and regular schools will soon be starting. How this summer flew by! Shocked

Not much new really, went into town early yesterday morning to take care of some business then came home and made pork chops with stuffing. Later we sat out on the deck and it got really cloudy, told Jim we had better mow, told him "you do half, I'll do half." So he started the mower, did his half then I got up to do my half, he pointed at himself and mouthed "I'll do it." Smile Kind of glad, I do enough walking at work. Sure looked nice after being mowed. I think it's been at least two weeks since he or the neighbors mowed it, was just too hot and dry. The funny part was we had all kinds of wild flowers growing in the yard, they looked that hot and dry weather.

Better get around here, need to leave shortly.

Take care,
Ann

HELLO ANN and OTHERS.......That was nice for Jim to finish mowing for you. Like you said you get way more than your share of being on your feet at work. Our lawn was looking very dry and didn't need mowed for a few weeks and my Grandson Cody mows for us, had a hard time understanding why he shouldn't mow. Hope things pick up at work, and there's No Lay-offs! Your dinner last nite sounded Delish, Chops and Dressing!

**FAN, I love your vacation pictures... the ones of the Wind mills are Beautiful! Glad your Sunburn is getting better. I've heard of putting Yogurt on a sunburn but never have tried it...I guess it DOES work. So your town is filling up with College students. They keep everything lively won't they?

**CAROLYN, You are still working as hard as ever aren't you? All that canning you do from your garden will definitely come in handy. I love that you were able to take your 92 year old Dad to the Family Reunion....I'm sure everyone was happy to see him. Did he do OK though? A person is usually so weak and not feeling the greatest when they get out of the hospital. I LOVE the idea of each family wear a different colored shirt...like yours was yellow. That is a really cool idea. Too bad we don't have Family Reunions anymore.

**MARTHA, You ask about my Nephew and if he was Home for good or what. No he has to go back in 2 weeks. He only got a 2 week vacation, plus he married a girl from over there and she couldn't come with him because her VISA was in order. Didn't get a chance to talk to him alot that day, but he did say the Hospitals over there are Terrible...no real doctors to speak of and it was dirty too. Then there was the fact that the daily temp is 145*, can you imagine that? I told him I hoped everyone had inside jobs. He said you get use to it after awhile. No I wouldn't I know that...it'd kill me first! Your Fluffy Dumplings sound delish. That's what I think of when I hear Dumplings. Some others call a Noodle square a dumpling too. How'd you do with all that Macaroni Salad you had to make? I bet it took forever to chop the Veggies for it.

**VICKI, Thanks for starting the August Recipe thread. I have a few recipes that I have tried from Pintrest that I want to post there. What did you end up doing with those Peaches you bought? My Sister who's house the Cook-out was at, made a fresh Peach Cake (in a Bunt pan) and had Fresh sliced Peaches to go over it, topped with Cool Whip...OMG It was to die for!

Well, I guess I had better head out to the kitchen to get Jim some lunch. That's about all I'm doing today and I feel a little nervous today! Hope everyone has a great day! HUGS!

hi everybody!

I have all the macaroni salad ready and I'm waiting for Jim to pick me up so we can go to BJ's Wholesale Club to buy hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, etc for the tournament he is going to later. It really wasn't too hard to make all that salad. The hardest part was cooking the macaroni in batches so it had enough room in the pot and didn't stick together. I mix tuna, mayo, celery, carrot and onion in it and put sliced hard-boiled eggs on top. It LOOKS pretty impressive.... I hope they like it.

Our weather has reverted back to typical Rochester weather for this time of year which is rain, followed by cloudy, then more rain. Wink At least we had a taste of what summer is supposed to be like... now we're back to "normal". But everything is growing like mad. Mowed the lawn yesterday. Unfortunately the crab grass is recovering faster than the "nice" grass, but at least it's thick and green looking. The flowers on my deck are gorgeous! I should try to get a picture to show you.

Where's everybody else today? No Fan even?
Well.... HI to anyone else who stops by............

Hello everybody, have a great day Very Happy

Martha, Fan is running late today Laughing I'm feeling very sluggish due to the warm weather and high humidity levels. Drains the energy out of me. Tomorrow will be even warmer and with t-storms coming in. Your salad sounds yummy to me.
Debbie, these students provide me with my daily bread Wink Have to love them for it. How long does your nephew have to go before he comes home to stay?
Ann-Marie, you've probably been sending the bugs to us. They are plentiful and getting really aggressive too Crying or Very sad
Called my sis last night to find out how the kids were doing. Funny enough exactly a year after I broke my hip and started crutching, she broke her foot last Thursday and is crutching now Smile . Luckily she has five daughters around to help out with things. Considering the traveling distance I can't be any help. Right now I'm gonna do something she can't do for the time being; splash around in the shower Wink.
