Morning everyone,

Finally had hot water yesterday at 10:30, Jim kept finding little pin holes that were leaking once he turned the water on. Was nice to get into a hot tub last night. Very Happy

Nice pictures from yesterday, so sharp and crisp.

Working today and tomorrow, they'll go fast, only 8 hr days.

Talked to Mom on Wed, she was taking Benji back to the vet, he's still coughing. Sad When I called her back later she said the vet gave him two shots of cortisone and gave Mom some antibiotics to give to him too, they are saying it's some sort of bacterial infection. Poor old fella.

Better get around here, brush my teeth and get a few things ready.

Later,
Ann

Good Morning, Friends!

Brrr! What a change from one day to the next! The temperatures/humidity has dropped. And, a sweatshirt is actually covering my light summer shirt.

This also brings a change in cooking... still a lot of local, fresh produce, but cooler temperatures. I can't wait to start baking bread, making more soups/stews, etc... Homemade yeast bread is on the agenda this morning.

Ann - Great news about your water heater! I hope the cortizone shots and medicine help Benji get over this infection.

Have a great day!
~~Vicki

P.S. Watch out!! This bird is watching you. Smile

GOOD MORNING GIRLS......Just went back and read all the post I have missed in the last few days. I tell you, when Jim is home it's a different routine!

Woke up about 7 and took care of business and thought I gotta open up BakeSpace the very first thing! I miss talking to you girls on a daily bases. My days have been pretty full, well let's say fuller that if Jim was working. We've had lots of company, from ole friends stopping by to going out to lunch with my Sister that moved to VA. I sure do miss her. Out of all my Siblings, she is the one I feel closest to. Anyway their son came in with them and I hardly ever get to see him, so it was good to see him. I remember babysetting for him many years ago and now he's about 6'3 and oh such a nice young man of 30 something! He hugged me and told me I was his Fav Aunt! The we were invited out to Jim's Sister's new home and it was the first time Jim has driven that far. She has a beautiful place and decorated in a style that you would see in a high end country shop. After we left there we stopped at a couple motorcycle shops, Jim was looking for a cable for the motorcycle, neither one had it, then we stopped at our Fav. Mexican restaurant for dinner. Now Saturday, Tiffany and the kids will be spending the day with us.Then her and I will go to the store....I shouldn't need much and Cody will Mow. Tiffany is wanting to put a color on my hair. She said I'm always wanting to cover the gray and it'd be fun to do a make-over on me. I'm still "THINKING" about it. Early that evening we are going to the Sternwheel Festible, they Always have to he BEST Fireworks of the year! Live bands and guys going around selling light rings and things for the kids. Last year I would have got them something, but had NO Cash, so this year I'll go prepared! Today is going to be laundry day, that's always fun!

**ANN, Glad to hear you only have an 8 hr. day. That should help give you some extra time to start feeling better. Oh yea, No hot water and no bath....I'm like you I'd be so happy to finally be able to set in the tub and relax. Poor ole Benji, hope he starts feeling better. When they get older it's hard for them to heal or feel better. I'll say a little doggie prayer for him.

**MERIAN, I see you stopped in the other day. Nice to see you again. When you have more time stop back in and tell us what has been keeping you so busy.

**FAN, I loved that picture of the Butterfly. It was so crisp and clear, it looked like it was real and landed on our computer screen. Your meal with the Sausages looked really good too.

**PATTI, Sorry to hear your Neurologist appt. didn't go very well and he didn't have good news for you. Hopefully the Steroids will take care of the pain...it better since you are going to lose a weeks worth of sleep. I know you'll feel like total $hit by the time the week is over . My Brother in Florida has sever back pain and like you has had several surgeries on his back. the pain he's in is like ours, 24/7 and his doctor just about 2 weeks ago did surgery on his back and place a "NERO STIMULATOR" in his back. It's supposed to cut the pain way down, like more than half! My Brother says it's already a difference of Day and Night. Google it and see what it says, it might be something you might want. I can just see Maddy being all excited about being in the wedding. Her dress sounds pretty. Try and send us a pic. Talking about losing a long post, I have done the same thing too and still can't figure our what key my finger accidentally hit. It sure does make it where you really don't want to start all over again though.

****HELLO TO VICKI AND TO PAT*****

I think I'm gonna close for now and go get my morning Meds and get this morning started! Hope EVERYONE has a Beautiful day. Remember I'm always thinking about you all. HUGS!

Good morning everybody, have a fantastic Friday Very Happy

I'm in the weekend already doing some of my household chores. Went to the vet's after work buying cat food and making an appointment for Myo getting her shots. Bought a lot of cat food and told her she'd better cultivate a good appetite since I bought half a year of cat food. Wink .
Vicki, I loved yesterdays pic with the wasp on the flower. Nice shot. Beautiful shot of the bird too.
Ann-Marie, must have been so good having a hot bath again Smile . Last year I wasn't able to take a shower for two months and the first hot shower after that period felt awesome. Sorry to hear Benji is still under the weather, hope this nasty infection disappears soon.
Debbie, Tiffany is going to give you a make-over? Luckily she doesn't have to colour my hair, that would turn out to become a major refurbishment. Laughing Must have been great to go out with Jim and visit your sis in her new place.
Gotta make a choice for my next chores now. I still have a newspaper, grocery run or a cat nap before cocktail time. Might opt for the grocery run first, I think. So TTYL.

Good evening girls. I had to delay making the Cincinnati chili for a day. My one son called and said he wanted to make his anniversary dinner special for his wife so he wanted us and her Mom to surprise her at our favorite steak place. It was their 15th anniversary! It sure didn't seem like it was that long ago. They were together 3 years before that, so they have been together 18 years. Madison put on a very special dress and a pair of her fanciest shoes to go out to dinner with us.
Managed to make the chili today. Fan, you had asked what makes the Cincinnati chili different, here is my recipe.
http://www.bakespace.com/recipes/detail/Cincinnati-Chili/16921/
Hubby is taking Madison and a friend to Hershey Park tomorrow. I hope they have good weather. They are predicting rain, but of course every source is different as to when it starts, if it rains, how long it will last, basically everything. If it starts raining they can catch an indoor show or tour the chocolate factory, go to dinner or something waiting for it to pass.
**Fan, you had asked if my son was training for something. No, he just tries very hard to keep in shape. He works in a medical department for the military and I think he likes to lead a good example. Whew you said about buying all that cat food, wasn't it hard to transport home? Love the color of the flower today.
**Debbie, sounds like you have been kept very busy. Sounds like some really good times though. I am thinking Cody's mowing may soon be turning into leaf raking. Our leaves are starting to come down. Hey, go for it, let Tiffany give you a makeover, hair grows out really quickly so even if you decide it isn't you, you wont have to keep it forever. Who knows, you might really like a new color. I will have to google that neuro stimulator.
**Vicki, I think we are supposed to get cooler weather next week, we have still been hovering about 90 and humid. I have been putting off baking this week, I will have to break down though, hubby is almost out of goodies to take in his lunch. Can't let that happen! I am hoping to get some more produce, I still have some apples from the orchard but am hoping to find some peaches somewhere yet. Time is running out for them and corn, sigh. You had asked about the cleaning cloths, I took old white tee shirts and cut them into a square and put them in plastic containers with snug lids, poured a solution of Dawn dish soap and alcohol over them. I used one tonight to clean up the kitchen and I think I like them. I get lots of ideas on Pinterest.
**Ann, I have been reading about all the fish kill in your area. Sounds really bad. Poor Benji, he has been dealing with this for a long time. I hope this medicine works for him. Glad you have your hot water back.
**Martha, that was some really good timing with Jim the other day. Where did you end up going out to dinner? Not sure what son has against exercising inside. The military has all kinds of fitness equipment, lockers, showers etc. right where he works. He also has a gym membership. I think part of it was being able to run with his dog, but not sure if he will be doing that anymore.
**Nubbins, now why on earth would Max be trying to escape. He should know he has it good where he is. Oh my goodness, will you know how to act, now that you have freedom to come and go as you please?? I am very glad that your road has finally been taken care of. That was very nice of the road crew to help you get your truck back on the road. Seems like they owed it to you. Tearing down a barn, sounds like it could be fun, but be careful.

I guess I forgot to tell you, for the first time ever with these steroids, I am having no trouble with sleeping at night, hooray, something finally going my way.

Guess I will have time to check in tomorrow, with hubby being gone. See you all then.
