Good Morning, Friends!

With temperatures in the 20's (F), I'm getting ready for winter. Dress and work boots are waterproofed. And, lined jeans, turtleneck shirts, sweaters, wool socks, etc... have already been worn a few times. I hope to rake today and/or tomorrow. Have you pulled out a lot of winter clothing?

I have an idea regarding another gluten-free bread or dessert using fresh cranberries, but need to check if fresh cranberries are available.

Now, I must go back to read the weekend posts.

Hi Vicki and everybody else, have a brilliant start of the week

Vicki, I'm trying to get ready for winter too. I already found two sweaters and some of my socks, shorts are combined with leggings and I got one high water jeans out.
Had a real good time yesterday taking pics and snacking away buffalo worms. Even convinced an old lady who bragged about her grandson not being afraid of snakes and insects, that she could do better than that. So the apprentice boy gave her a start by putting one of the stick insects on her arm.

Showed her how to handle it and she gradually got over her fear of it. So we told her jokingly she should taste the insects too, since she liked shrimps. And she did have a go, coming back to tell us she liked the buffaloo worms. She probably was encouraged by the toddlers who were eating it like candy.

Then towards the end she showed up at my neighbour's stand with the big bird spiders and asked if she could have one of those on her hand for a minute as well. She said to him that she thought her grandson would be very proud and jealous of her handling a bird spider. My neighbour had to laugh and asked us to make pictures of it, which she can come and pick up at the pet shop as proof. He totally made her happy with that.
Used my hiking shoes yesterday after the bug eating event for a walk through the sand dunes and the beach in the dark. Had a real hard time following the youngsters. I'm loosing speed , 3 miles in 40 minutes through sand. Got up this morning having trouble walking, my legs were totally stiff.
