Very quiet here this morning after a very boisterous few days. It was a fantastic holiday, except I told my children they were WAY too extravagant with our gifts. I tried to get them to take back the biggest gift they got us but they would have no parts of it. For me the best part of the holidays was having everyone here getting along beautifully and hearing the laughter of everyone. It really was a Christmas to remember.
There was a down side, my youngest is obviously very ill but he will not tell me what is wrong. He was VERY thin to begin with but has lost a lot of weight since I saw him last. Everyone was passing around my blood pressure cuff and he had a heart rate of 110. He told me not to worry about him that Tina worries enough for everyone. She did seem to take very good care of him and keep him taking his medicine and making sure he ate and drank healthy.
I hope everyone had a joyous holiday. I guess Ann's is just starting now, have fun with you mom and Benji.
**Debbie I know that like me your grandchildren are a very special part of Christmas. I saw pictures of your grandchildren opening some of their gifts, they seemed full of smiles, so great to see. Sounded like Tiffany had troubles like my youngest son with her blood pressure etc. I hope she is feeling better.
**Martha, did you spend Christmas with your boyfriend and your daughter?
**Gramma, you sure have been baking up a storm, I think like Ann, you are having a delayed Christmas. I hope the storms wont cause any further delays for you. What a great way for your gs to propose, more reason to celebrate this season. Is Jim feeling any better?
**Nubbins, I bet you will have enough turkey to make lots of things with for you and gs.
**Fan, I think I remember somewhere that you wouldn't be able to get on line for a few days. I am guessing you are at your Aunt's house enjoying the holidays.
**Tango, you are always in my prayers. I hope you will be able to tell us soon how you are doing. (((Laurie)))

I have lots of laundry to do today, hopefully I will be able to get it all done. Darned hubby, he asked me to make up a plate of cookies for him to take to work and then he forgot to take them! Hello to everyone who stops by and I hope I didn't forget anyone.

Hello Patti & everyone...

Snowing here this afternoon, roads are getting covered. Guess it's suppose to get blustery this afternoon into the evening. Glad I am home! Jim had to go to work this morning...saying a prayer that it isn't bad when he gets out of work.

PattiT - what a wonderful time you had with family!! Smile I'm so glad.

{{{Tango}}}

Not much new, just hanging out here at the house with Mom, Benji and the kitties. Nice and relaxing. Very Happy

Take care,
Ann

Hi everybody, hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas Very Happy

Thank you so much for all the Christmas wishes you've been sending this way. It really made me feel very blessed.
Christmas started Monday morning at the pet shop, we pulled the stereo outside and played Christmas songs. The apprentice boys were dressed in black and my neighbour as half a Santa. But the apprentice girl was stunning, and the little Mr Bunny in her arms probably had enough dreams to get him through two Christmas days Laughing

Then at 5 pm I was on my way up north with my cousin to spent Christmas with aunt B. I had a wonderful time and plenty of gifts. Nice kitchen stuff, a decorative basket for my backyard and very nice hand lotion. Aunt B. had cooked delicious traditional Christmas food. Yummy. So I had quite a lot to carry home this afternoon, the luggage, gifts and me having gained a few pounds.
Now I'm burning candles in my window sill for everyone I have to pray for. Tango and PattiT, I got one burning for you too.
Ann-Marie, nothing white here. We had a rainy Christmas with so much rain in the last weeks that even the old "Wouda gemaal" was put back to pump the water away and keep our feet dry. It wasn't too far away from where I was and we would have liked to go and see it working, but waiting time in the qeueu of people was about 2 hours. So we decided not to go

I'll say a prayer for Jim. Have fun with everybody there.
PattiT, sounds like you had a real good time with the family. I'll say a prayer for your son too.
Debbie, hope you enjoy your time with everybody. Make it rock.
Nubbins, did the turkey turn out good? For us Dutch people a turkey does not belong to the Christmas tradition. Probably there were not to many turkeys around when we started to become Christians around 800 AD Wink We have hare, duck and beef.
Grammadot, have a happy Christmas with everybody too. You do have a very courageous grandson proposing that way Laughing Take care of Jim, tell him to take it easy.
{{{{{Tango}}}}} Hang in there.

Hi Everybody!
Had a wonderful Christmas! We got enough snow a couple of days ago to call it a White Christmas......... then this afternoon, it REALLY started coming down! Supposed to get another 10 inches tomorrow!!

On Christmas morning I went over to my daughter's house (because she has a tree up and it was more fun to put the gifts under a tree!) I got some nice gifts including some new cookbooks and 2 professional grade cookie sheets!! Then we went to visit my Mom and give her some gifts. Then we came to my house and I made dinner. Sarah (my daughter), Tim (her fiance) and Jim (my cutie) and I had a nice dinner of glazed ham and assorted side veggies.

They had my Mom on intravenous fluids because her kidneys are not functioning properly. But in spite of that, she was in good spirits. I have to find out tomorrow if that treatment worked or what else they can do.

On Friday, Sarah & Tim are flying to Austin, Texas to spend a week with friends. I hope the snow here doesn't interfere with their flight! While they are gone, I'm going to stay at their house and baby sit their three dogs and one cat. I'll only be 3 miles away, so I can come home and visit my fur babies and make sure they are OK. It should be interesting..............

I did end up making a bunch of Christmas Cookies. (But I never got to fixing my lighted deer Crying or Very sad ) My daughter took trays of cookies several times to work with her...but I STILL have some left. I don't know why I make so many!! I just can't decide which ones to make, so I make a batch of each kind, and every year I add another new one to my repertoire!!! It's just a tradition with me..... but now that Jim and I are retired, there just aren't enough places to unload a tray of cookies! But it was fun anyway.

Hope you all had nice holidays too!
