Morning everyone,

Sheesh, still having a hard time typing out "2013".

PattiT - remember when my car was just shutting off randomly a few months ago?? It did it to us one night Jim came to pick me up a week or so ago, don't know what it is. So weird. We didn't have any lights lit up on the dash, the dome light was off. Jim opened and shut the driver side door a couple of times, didn't work. All of sudden he turned the key, some thing 'clicked' then all the lights came on and he started the car. We thought maybe when we took it to the mechanic months I thought he might have jiggled some thing because we hadn't have the problem since summer. And it's starting up again.

Fan - ...wow...what was her reason for retiring? How old is she?

Pat/nubs - it's funny, you would think we never had snow storms up here...everyone was chattering about it at work last week, even me. We've had such mild winters for the past few years we don't know what to think of all this snow we had at once!!

Hope everyone is doing well today. Plan on going to Thrifty Shopper later this afternoon...see what kind of deals we can find.

good morning Ann and everyone else that stops in today.
I went to the dentist yesterday and had an exam and they did an impression for my new dentures. I am scheduled to have them all pulled next monday. I am nervous about it. I am having a partial on the bottom and full set on the top. That is going to be a big chunk out of my savings.But I really need it done so might as well do it while a I have the money.
I am feeling a little better. My shingles are going away.
Ann-I know what you mean about typing 2013 I am still typing or writing 12.
that sucks about your car. hope you get it straightened out.
Hello to everyone and hope you are all doing ok.
Plannining on working on the house today. Still haven't taken down my decorations from the balcony yet. Haven't felt much like going upstairs for the last week since we came home. Not the only one though. Saw several houses on our way to town yesterday with decorations still up.

Grammadot - I'll be in the same boat within the next few years regarding the teeth/dentures. See several house that have their Christmas lights up and they still turn them on too.

Grammadot, my tree is still with lights up. . Yuck the dentist. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you next Monday.
Ann-Marie, our queen turns 75 on Thursday. Her reason for retiring probably is that her son turns 46 this year and she doesn't want to create a situation like in the UK with Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth. He's 63 and still waiting. By abdicating now our crown prince doesn't have to start his job at the age most people retire.
Today I was told that my neighbour from the fast food joint passed away yesterday afternoon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday. I'll probably will get a mourning letter tomorrow.

Fan - they had a little write up on CNN.com about your queen. Interesting that she would rather give up the royal chair and give it to her son. Don't have much to say about the royals in England since what happen to Princess Diana. I can still see my Mom so upset about Prince Di getting killed in the car crash.

Got the kitchen and bathroom floor scrubbed, will be clean for another week. As I was cleaning we had a big rumble of thunder. Weird to hear in winter. At least it isn't thunder snow!

Hello, I was hoping to hear some answers about my sons tests today. They called and told him something didn't make it where it needed to go to get the results by today. He hopes to hear Thursday or Friday. I think he is worrying way less than me. Did some laundry today and made a pot of spaghetti sauce, what we didn't eat for dinner tonight I froze for another time. Cleaned up what I could in the two bathrooms, kind of hoping hubby would see me cleaning and do the floors etc, but no such luck.
**Ann, I hope your car does not keep acting up. Did you find anything good at the Thrifty Shopper? I think the thunderstorms are headed our way tomorrow.
**Fan, I have been reading about your queen abdicating. That is sad news about your neighbor passing away.
**Gramma, ouch, I hate the thought of what you are about to do. I am sure you will be pleased when it is all over though. Glad to hear that your shingles seem to be going away. With all you have going on lately, no wonder you haven't gotten to the last of the Christmas decorations.
**Nubbins, funny you should mention the quiet, beauty of snow. Hubby and I were just talking about that this week. We got an inch or two while we were in Philadelphia, glad it wasn't more.
