Will have to go out and take some pics of the crocuses. Smile So good to start taking picture of Spring flowers again. Very Happy Very Happy

Have lots to do today so better get around here.

Good day Ann-Marie and everybody else, have a great Easter weekend Very Happy

I can tell you this year the European Easter Bunnies are playing indoors for our Easter is going to be colder than our Christmas was last year. They are waving at me from the inside of the bakery.

No sunshine today.
Ann-Marie, have fun taking pics. I'm afraid that when I finally get over this flu and sinus infection Spring blossoming will be over Wink I did see some crocuses two weeks ago before I fell ill.
My neighbour has planned on serving cocktails tonight, but I seem to fall into pieces already. May not make it till then. Sad .

Hi Carolyn, I know how it feels. I'm freezing on the outside and boiling on the inside due to a pear daiquiri Very Happy . It totally knocked me of my feet and turned the world upside down despite of Mini trying to keep me a wake and entertained.

HI GIRLS....GET READY 4 A BIG CHAPTER.....

HELLO TO MY MOST FAVORITE FRIENDS! Woo Hoo, it's going to be 55* today! That seems like a heat wave as we have had a few Cold and Windy days here lately! Tomorrow, Easter Sunday, it'll be warmer but RAINY!

Things are about the same here: Kujo is hanging on, but getting worse Everyday..... He falls alot, and won't hardly eat and now he will not take his Pill. I told Jim if he stops taking his pill, it's over sooner than later. Jim and I are in the habit now of looking at him while he's asleep and see if he's still breathing. Poor little guy needs put to sleep, but it's hard to do, when he still is not any any Pain. The kids have been over to spend the nite a few times this week (Spring Break) and we let Kujo stay out, as he was too weak to bite and yesterday he actually went and got one of his Tennis Balls and wanted to play! So it's the brief times like that that make it hard to make that last call on our beloved Fur-baby! I'll watch him through the week-end and if he gets ANY worse, I'll make the call and see when our Vet is in.

As for me...will same ole, same ole just a different day! Went to the Wound Care doctor on Wednesday and they had me laying on my tummy so they could see my heel better and the doctor dug around, probed and prodded till Jim said there was blood all over the sheets. It hurt but not too bad, more discomfort than really hurt as I have not alot of sensation in that foot since the Frozen ankle surgery. I ask them if they had heard back from the Insurance Co about them approving the Skin Grafting and they said yes, but I needed to make the 20% deductible, which would be $500 which Jim and I are thinking we can afford that, then she went on to tell us that it would be EVERY WEEK for at least a month! Forget that I said, that would be a min. of $2000 if not more! Those days aren't happening!!! I'm STILL carrying ALOT of fluids, which is bad for the swelling in my Legs and around my Lungs and Heart!

Jim is still sorta looking for work. He's been experiencing ALOT of Pain with the foot that he broke last Summer. I told him they more than likely botched up the way it should have healed. Also told him back then and still tell him today to sue the Company as his pain will only get worse as time goes on! I guess neither one of us figured we'd be so unbendable when we got older.

Like I mentioned earlier the Kids had Spring Break and we had them stay over several nites and spend all the next day with us. We had a good time. Jim and I went to Crafts 2000 and got supplies to do a craft for Easter, Bake some Easter Cookies and fixed dinner every nite. Anyway, I stayed busy from the time I got up at 5 til I went to bed at 11 or mid-nite! Today is REST DAY!

I guess I had better NOT make this too long , as I have several things to do today, Pay Bills, Sort Laundry, straighten up this back room and as for dinner, it'll be leftover Lasagna and Tossed salad! YUM! Hope Everyone has a Blessed Easter Holiday. I always loved Easter when I was young, as my Grandparents with whom I lived would dress my Sister and I up in Beautiful Easter dresses and Granddad Before church would have us outside taking pictures of Us! I missed you ALL! HUGS!

****UPDATE ON KUJO*****

Hello GIRLS....It is with a very sadden heart that Jim and I HAD to make the decision to have our little Boy Kujo put to sleep. He hasn't eaten in 2 days, refuses to take his Meds and today had 2 seizures, one of which he was fighting to get his breath! I told Jim, OK it's time ...he is Suffering! We Both cried and thought about the poor sick guy and the Vet we have just happened to be working today. We love her Compassion for Fur-Babies and I ask her if she thought we were making the right decision and she said indeed you have. She ask if we wanted to stay while they gave him the shot and we said as we didn't want to desert him and we wanted to hug him one last time. So she explained everything about the bodies reaction and what to expect after his little heart stopped. Such a sad and hard choice to have to make and I hate falling in love and getting so attached to anything only for it to die! I just know now he will feel better at the "RAINBOW BRIDGE"! Thanks to EVERYONE'S Prayers and concern for Kujo! HUGS!

{{{Debbie & Jim}}} - yes, it's hard but I know you both made the right decision. Just think of all the times he made you laugh and gave you unconditional love.

Fan - cute pictures...love the upside down kitty. Smile Our spring flowers won't really start taking off til the end of May, early June. I am drinking some Jägermeister in Coke --> yum!

Carolyn - you keep that snow up there!!! Wink Wink

Leo & Willow are getting a long much better, she doesn't growl at him no more, she does hiss when he gets into her personal space though.

Made a chicken/broccoli/rice casserole for supper, was awesome. Will add it to the recipe thread one day I am here. Don't feel like getting up to get the book, plus I have a 15 lb. cat on my lap. Smile

Take care,
Ann

Debbie, that's so sad to have him put down. But considering his condition, it's the only option left. If an animal doesn't go after it's food anymore, the spirit to survive has left. Glad to hear your vet was so helpful with making the decision. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you and Jim, hopefully he'll find a job soon. Your foot and health condition worries me a lot too.
Ann-Marie, I'm off the booze Sad . I did have a pear daiquiri last night. But during the night the pain in my ear and jaw became unbearable, so I spent the morning in the ER, trying to get it sorted out. Unfortunately the Dr. couldn't make out what is bothering me. He doesn't think it to be a sinus infection and suspects a dental problem. I still suspect it to be something close to a sinus infection. We did agree on the fact that it was very likely to be viral, so antibiotics are useless. Luckily he did prescribe stronger pain meds, but the pain still comes through despite of it.
