Morning everyone,

Was a quiet weekend, didn't feel like doing anything, seemed so tired and without ambition. Did scrub the kitchen floor, the little bathroom and did get the bathrooms cleaned up. Other than that, watched TV. We went over to the park Saturday night to watch the sunset, and wow...that wind was raw and cold. Stood behind a big cement pillar to keep out of it.

Yesterday went outside to take pics of the hyacinths, took maybe 4 or 5 picture, came back in...that darned wind was just so cold. Plus have had a chill for the past few days, can't seem to get warm now.

Getting ready to go into work shortly, guessing there will probably be at least 17 critters still. Keep me busy for the day. Smile

Hope everyone is doing well.
Take care,
Ann

Good Morning, Friends!

Good News! The flooding has hit its peak and levels are slowly dropping. Many roads still closed, and some rivers/creeks were at record levels in our county. The sunshine yesterday and today is welcomed. Smile

Dinner is planned: Couscous with leftover beef roast and loads of chopped/shredded vegetables (carrots, celery, green pepper, onion, summer squash). Otherwise, finishing household chores is my goal today and tomorrow.

Ann - Do you have hyacinths in your yard?

Fan - How big is your new pan? And, what did you make first? Thank you for sharing your recipe!! Smile

~~Vicki

Hi everybody, have a smashing start of the week Very Happy

Vicki, the puff pastry sheets are 4.6 by 4.6 inches and my new cooking pot has a diametre of 9,4 inches. But I haven't used it yet. It's really an all purpose pot for top stove cooking and oven as well.
Wow Ann-Marie, our hyacinths still have to come up. So far we only have the crocuses and the daffodils. But I did see some trees starting to blossom today. Have fun at work.
Had to go to class to day with my boss. He took his car today and gave me a free ride to class. We even got homework chores for next time Laughing . Looks like I have a lot on my plate the coming weeks.
And while we were out of town, all the high schools in Leiden were closed due to a possible school shooting. It even made the world news.

Seems tomorrow everything will be back to normal, kids in school and me back in the office.

I had a post almost done and it disappeared. Too tired to do it all over again. I have returned from spending time with Nick, went to a chemo treatment with him. I will try to write sometime soon. I have a ridiculously early Dr. appt. tomorrow and then hubby wants to go for a drive so not sure when I will be back. Thinking of you all often.
