Morning everyone,

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!!!!!!!!

Woohoo, my vacation started at 330 yesterday afternoon. I ran out of there! LOL!! Very Happy Actually I walked out with someone that works there, very nice person. Don't get to talk to him much anymore so was nice to walk to where we park the cars, nice visit.

Did I tell you about the car? Mad Jim took it to get it aligned on Mon, told him they probably wouldn't do anything...knew there was something wrong with it. He called me, said that the passenger side wheel bearing was starting to go and that a spring in the back was broken, the other cracked. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad Really?!! So we took it over last night, should get it back around 11 am or so.

Well, just watched the local weather..doesn't look good for kayaking. Sad Confused Tomorrow rainy, Fri rainy in the morning. Whatever.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! I know I will. Wink

Take care,
Ann

Hey Y'all:

Ann-sorry your weather will stop you from playing with your kayak. Sad With luck the weatherman will be wrong - it will be sunny & warm.

Take care...

Hi everybody, have a smashing day Very Happy

Ann-Marie, thumbs up for plan B, but I really hope you can get out with the kayak soon and the car. Talking about cars and kayaks, I really thought this car was about to go kayaking.
But I couldn't find it in the canal this afternoon, so it obviously got away dry. Laughing Laughing
Nubbins, how are you doing?
I'm about to commit a crime to our weathermen and women. They are still talking about night frosts and highs around 12C while it's supposed to be over 20C. This will be the 6th month in a row with temps well below average. Probably that's why our residential seagulls at the office only have one chicken this year. That is I only seen one chicken for the last two days. Couldn't take a pic of it yet, but it's coming out of the nest and wobbles around there. It may come closer to the windows in a few days. Smile
So how's everybody else doing?

Fan - this has been wettest spring in a while. Hope this isn't what our summer will be also. Sad It's 77º with a breeze, hot in the sun though.

My hand is still really swollen from the bee sting but it isn't as painful today.
**Ann, I am glad you have fun things planned if the weather doesn't cooperate. Enjoy, enjoy enjoy your vacation.
**Fan, that is sad if the weather is the cause of less chicks this year. We are having sweltering weather here. we could use some of your cooler temps.

Hubby is home, hopefully I will be able to type better tomorrow.

Hi Everybody!

We have been having rain storms followed by humid, warm temps every day. The rain is feeling welcome... just to cool things off for a few hours. Thank God for air conditioning!!

Well, I did it! I went out and bought a new car. I got the Chevy Cruze. It's a real pretty bronze-brown color. I really like it. It's only a 4 cylinder but it's pretty perky! And it is supposed to get 35 miles to the gallon! Did you know cars now-a-days don't even have ignition keys? I didn't!! It just has a little button on the remote and when you push it... a metal bar pops out and you stick that in the keyhole. Will wonders never cease?? One thing I will never understand is why the price of a car is so complicated! Why can't they just put a price tag on them (like a loaf of bread) No, you have to play this big game of discounts and specials... until they finally tell you the REAL price. What a lot of nonsense! Anyway, after all was said and done, I ended up paying less than I thought it would cost me. So even though I had to go into debt, I think I got a good deal.

Ann - It sounds like your car has reached that point of costing you something every time you turn around. Have you looked into leasing? At least that way you'll have a reliable car to get around in. You can get one for around $100 a month. Think of it as "renting" a car until you're in a better situation. I hope you get a chance to go kayaking! Knowing you, you'll find something fun to do! Take pictures!

Fan - We're dying to see pictures of your seagulls. That pic of the car almost driving into the canal was a hoot! I swear, in this country, the canal would have to be dredged every day! There's no way we can park a car without guardrails. How's your kitty?

Pattit - How is your bee sting? Are you taking Benedril? Or some kind of antihistimine. It will lessen the reaction and swelling. If it isn't better, you'd better show it to a doctor.

Nubbins - How you doin' girl? Are you at least taking advantage of the nice weather? Or are you getting rained on too?

HI to everybody else! Anybody cooking... or is it too hot?
