Good Morning, Friends!

You have really been missed. I can't wait to catch up with everyone.

I am still not home... hoping to finally come back by next Friday or Saturday. (crossing my fingers and toes)

~~Vicki

Hello Vicki & all,

What a wonderful three days with Mom & Donna! Thur wasn't a pleasant day, weather-wise but we made the best of it, did LOTS of shopping! LOL Later in the evening it cleared up so that gave us hope for Fri...not so much. Was so cloudy when we went to Presque Isle, got in anyway. Rained so we got out, came home did more shopping and by the time we came home from Dollar General it was sun shining. Went to the Lagoons...was wonderful!! They left this morning at 7, was raining and they were worried about driving with the kayaks plus Mom wanted to get home to see how Benji was, he stayed with Donna's DH.

This is my day to putter around and look at some cookbooks I found up at Thrifty Shopper. Found a whole set of 2011 TOH Simple & Delicious, but didn't buy them...I did go up this morning and get them. I had to check to see where I dropped my subscription.

Better get around here, see what I can get into. Not much, I doubt...the rain stopped by the sky isn't promising.

Take care,
Ann

Hi everybody, have a great day Very Happy

Vicki, glad to see you posting again. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too.
Ann-Marie, I'm really happy you got a chance to kayak be it for one afternoon. Have fun with the cookbooks.
Myo hasn't eaten or drunk anything today and I noticed a swelling on her chin. Because she's been eating poorly for a couple of weeks already, I called the vet tonight and made an appointment for tomorrow morning. It's gonna cost me twice the money Mad , but I'd rather see her sorted out sooner than later. If surgery is needed I can leave her there and they can take her first thing on Monday morning.
Yesterday was a fun day, a walked over the Peurbakken market and bought my self a sheet for my bed and some socks under the watchful eye of our king and queen.

And in the evening I went out to see the Peurbakkentocht. It started out with dry weather, but halfway through it started to rain and people had to take out their umbrellas. Nevertheless it was fun.

Not sure, either that or an abces or something. But she's obviously in pain. Wait and see, my appointment is at 10.45 am. Can't wait to get there.

My vet told me that cats hide their pain well, I believe her since we never knew about Leo's teething being so bad. I'll be waiting to see what your vet tells you, I'm curious.

They do. Myo may have had this for a couple of weeks already, but the vet and me totally may have overlooked it, cause there was no swelling. Now the swelling becomes obvious we may be able to act properly.

Good morning everybody, have a smashing Sunday.

Myo and me went for a bike ride to the vet this morning. I was enjoying the ride much more than Myo did, I suppose. At the vet's it turned out Myo has either a dental problem or a small tumor on her chin. They gave me a painkiller for her and an appointment for x-rays on Tuesday. Gotta liquidize her food and mix it with the painkiller till tomorrow night. If they find something on the x-ray, they intend to remove it right away while she's still sedated. Right now she's much happier than she's been for the last couple of days and so am I. Smile
Had planned to go and see some of the activities in the city center, but after my trip the mood for going was gone and I decided to hit the couch together with Myo Wink . Still need to finish some chores too. TTYL.

**Fan, lovely photos of the celebrations in your area. Poor Myo, I hope it is something that will be easy to take care of and not require surgery. Glad the medicine made her feel better. Worrying can take a lot out of a person, I hope you and Myo were able to catch a nice cat nap.

I am sitting here watching the PGA AT&T Golf from Bethesda MD, hubby, nephew and some friends are there. They started it early to try to beat any thunderstorms, seems to have been a good call.
Friday was a swim meet for Madison, she did well, she barely got beat .4 of a second by her good friend.
Saturday was a softball game, got quite hot for that. Managed to hand in there although at one point felt very lightheaded. She made two really good catches and runs home, The other team was protesting that the umpire was too nit picky. They ended up winning and whining, ha ha. Our players had fun and at this age that is the important thing.
Today my amazing niece and BIL, well actually they started yesterday, rode to raise money for Cancer in Nick's name. They just posted that they are at the finish line, considering the long ride they both looked fabulous. It sure chokes me up to see Nick's name on their jerseys as the person they are riding for. They rode from Hershey PA to Philadelphia PA which is where Nick lives so he was going to meet up with them.
Got my laundry all caught up, repairman for my new machine will be here early tomorrow. Sigh. I hope they can figure out how to fix it. It will be hard because it doesn't do it all the time.

**Ann, bet it never seems like enough time when it comes time for you Mom and Donna have to leave. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Enjoy paging through your cookbooks today.
**Vicki, I am sure you will be glad to get back home.
Haven't even started reading the paper yet, so I guess I will go do that. I might sneak in a cat nap myself, I woke up when hubby and his friend were leaving this morning and couldn't get back to sleep.
