Hi everybody, have a smashing day Very Happy

PattiT, your spaghetti sauce looks really yummy. I was drooling this morning Laughing
No t-storms today, they all moved towards the east instead of towards us in the west. But with temps in the low 80s and a humidity level of 72% it was mucky. Temps in the office were still close to 86F. Didn't enhance my production scores. Tomorrow the heat will return and so may the t-storms. But that's another day.
The weeds are doing amazingly well right now.

The only bummer is that I haven't spotted butterflies so far. They seem to become quite rare in the cities. Probably neat gardening and frequent lawn mowing are accountable for that. Too bad, cause butterflies do need lawns with plenty and great variety of flowers.
Haven't decided on dinner yet. It'll either be a salad or spaghetti. Still have an hour to make up my mind. Might tell you later Wink

**Fan, did I spark your interest in spaghetti? Not sure if you could see it but there were lots of mushrooms in there. After I took the picture I realized I should have let some of them show. Hubby is taking advantage in the cooler weather, he is doing lawn work today and tomorrow he and his friend are going golfing tomorrow. We feasted at lunch on the carrots and tomatoes he harvested from the garden and I need to go out and get some squash before they get too big.
I have some blueberries calling my name, I might make something with them.
I hope some of our cooler weather makes its way to you across the way. Any more ice cream deliveries for you from the director?
I will post the recipe for the spaghetti sauce on the recipe section that Vicki starts.

PattiT, I noticed the mushrooms, but I suspected you tried to hide them for Chris, since she doesn't like mushrooms Laughing . Yeah, you did spark my interest in spaghetti, but I decided on the salad for tonight and the spaghetti for tomorrow. Seen the recipe and I'm definitely gonna try it when the kitchen is less hot and I do have some more playtime.

Good Morning, Friends!

I took a short walk today. Look below and see something we saw!

Fan - I haven't seen many butterflies this summer, as well as last summer. Your salad sounds scrumptious.

PattiT - What are you making with your blueberries? I have five pounds on hand from our local Farmer's Market. Can you share some ideas?

We're having chicken, local corn on the cob, and tossed salad for dinner tonight.

Hi Everybody!

It was so much cooler today, I couldn't believe it!! It's 62° right now!
Soooo nice after all that heat!

I can't do much in my garden or yard because the deer and rabbits eat just about everything. Except the crab grass which they leave alone Evil or Very Mad So
I have go to my daughter's yard or Jim's yard to play in the garden. Yesterday I had fun in Jim's yard. His house looks like a typical bachelor's house...... no flowers, just shrubbery. And he never pulls weeds!! He does have a huge rose bush though. So I trimmed all the bushes and pulled weeds and mulched around the bushes while he was out golfing. He said he almost didn't recognize the place when he got home!

I went to the doctor today. I have diverticuosis and it's been acting up a little more lately. He said he is going to schedule me for surgery just to remove a section of my colon that has a lot of scar tissue. No biggie! It will be done laproscopicly (spelling??) which means through just a tiny incision and robotic-ly. How cool is that going to be? I wish I could be awake to watch!! He will let me know when it is scheduled and he says after that I will probably never have any trouble with it again. Yay!

Pattit - Ooooh, your spaghetti looks yummy! I used to LOVE fried green tomatoes, but I haven't had any in years.

Vicki - Cute turtle photo! All dressed in green! You have 5 lbs of blueberries??? My mouth is watering already! "In the old days" I used to make jam.... boy, was that delicious!! Now it would cost a fortune for that many berries @ $1.99 a pint.... did you get a good deal on them?

Fan - You are just going to have to take a train out to the country to get us some pretty butterfly pictures! You need a field trip anyway.

Has anyone heard from Debbie?

Hi to everyone else out there.
