Good Morning, Friends!

Another cool day today... a/c is off and windows are open. I'll probably add fresh blueberries to a tossed salad today. Smile

Martha - Glad you liked the turtle! Smile The blueberries cost $12 for 5 pounds at the Farmer's Market. I hope your surgery goes smoothly.

~~Vicki

Here is something that was not too far away from the turtle. Very Happy

Good morning Vicki and everybody else, have a smashing day Very Happy

Vicki, lovely pics. Are turtles common to the waters in your area? The only ones in the Netherlands are the escapees.
Martha, I did take the train today, but only for a meeting in The Hague at the National Archives. No fields and no butterflies on my way. Hope your surgery will be scheduled soon and that everything goes well.
No tossed salad for me today. I got spaghetti with a tomato, tuna and salted black olives sauce on the menu. But first I need to stay awake for another hour behind my desk and get some things done. TTYL

Fan - Frogs, toads, turtles, etc... are common in the creeks.

I like your plan for your menu. Only one more hour and your day is over. Here it is 10:15 am here!! Smile

~~Vicki

Hello girls. Last I heard Debbie was having a pic line put in. She doesn't even post on Facebook, and wouldn't you know, the day I decided to call her was the days she was going for the pic line. Hopefully I will remember to call her later today.
**Martha I will say prayers for your surgery to go well. My husband only had one bout of the diverticulsis or what ever it is called, and he was miserable and got an infection before he finally went to the Dr. Sounds great that it will get rid of the problem for you.
I am with you on the deer problem, the have already begun munching away in our veggie garden. Wish they liked my hosta, I have plenty of them. I was just reading on how to keep them away and the latest consensus is to use Human pee around the garden, I have one friend that recommended this also. Not sure I can allow myself to do that.
**Fan, so your field trip did not include an actual field, too bad. We are having the leftover spaghetti sauce tonight, here. Your meal sounded good if I liked tuna. How is Myo doing?
**Vicki, it is great to have you back posting. We have lots of butterflies here, also hummingbirds, blue birds, frogs and turtles of course lots of other things that I can't thing of at the moment. I plant things that are to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. I also have a "wild" area at the bottom of the yard that has cardinal nests, blue jays and mocking birds. The turtles and frogs head for that area also. My sister was here and said she was surprised no one complains about us not mowing down there, it doesn't border anything but the rodeo fence so I don't know why anyone would complain. I am always trying to get more wild flowers to grow there. Hubby cut off the daisies yesterday and threw them down in that area so that the seeds would bring more daisies down there.
I will post the blueberry recipe I am using int he recipe section. It is from Brown Eyed Baker so I know it will be good.
Hubby is golfing and I am not accomplishing much today so I better go get busy.
Hope everyone has a grand day!

OMG, poor Debbie. Just hope everything goes well for her.
PattiT, Myo is doing okay so far. She does has her appetite back, but isn't very curious about my food yet. The heat wave we are in may have something to do with that I assume. Due to the high temps she's not very active at the moment. Nice to have a weed border at the end of your garden, some weeds have very beautiful flowers and the fact that insect life is attracted to them makes it wonderful to watch.
