Hello everybody, have a smashing day Wink

We had Ban Ki-moon yesterday giving a lecture at our University. The whole city closed down for about two hours due to safety measures, and our Chef de Kabinet [the lady organizing all ceremonial events] is running a marathon on high heels for days in a row already. Yesterday was Ban Ki-moon, Monday the opening of the Academic year with all the professors dressed up in togas and Prince Constantijn speeching and finally next Wednesday the reopening of the renovated glass house in the University's Botanical Garden by Queen Maxima. Three major royal events within 7 days. I feel for her and I'm happy to work in the flipflop department Laughing
Sunday we are going to have our department's yearly day of "teambuilding" by paying a visit to the fairy tale theme park Laughing called Efteling. Never done that before. My little nieces will be soo jealous. Just the fact that I get to see Cinderella.
So what's going on at your side of the world?

Hi everybody!
I'm almost afraid to say anything out load but.... I feel good today! Very Happy
I decided maybe that bloated feeling was starvation... so I decided for make myself eat as much as I can.(I'd have to lose about 100 lbs before I could even begin to be starving!!) This liquid-to-mushy-almost liquid-diet was killing me... so I figured "what have I got to lose?" so I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, two slices of pizza for lunch and spaghetti and meatballs for dinner!!!!!!!!!! And I feel good! Yay!

Fan - Boy! That's a lot of excitement going on in your town. And to top it off with an amusement park.... wow! You're going to need the whole weekend to recuperate!

The big Labor Day Weekend is coming up. Does everybody have big plans for backyard barbeques and parades, etc? My daughter is hoping their boat will be repaired by tomorrow.... there are big festivities planned on the lake this weekend. Bands, fireworks, lot of fun. I'm planning a quiet weekend on my backyard deck with a new book!

Hi to everybody else!!!!
