Hope Debbie is doing well. Thank you PattiT for keeping us up-to-date.

Have been busy at work, having a critter explosion. Went from 13 to 21 within just a few days! Shocked Shocked

Haven't been on, don't feel like I am good company...too much on my mind and too much to do here at the house, trying to get caught back up and getting back to a normalness (is that a word?) again.

Off today so have some cleaning to do.

Take care,

Haven't heard much about Debbie, I did see that they went out to eat at Cracker Barrel and she said she felt good enough to shop there and that she bought a hat for a great price. I hope she comes on here soon and lets us know how things are going.
**Fan sounds like quite a frustrating day for you yesterday. I hope today goes much better for you.
**Martha, I can't believe you were out there mowing and raking! I hope you didn't end up sore today. I bet the end of that chore made you feel better about the lawn though. We are to have cooler weather for the next couple of days, such a nice change.
**Vicki, cute picture of the ducks, I bet you really enjoyed your walk. I got new glasses about two weeks ago, last night hubby looks at me and says did we ever go pick up your glasses!! Not too observant, is he.
**Ann, glad to see you checking in, we don't expect you to be all chipper with what you have been through, but please don't stay away because you might not be "good company." Sounds like the critters are keeping you busy!

We did go to the orchard yesterday, unfortunately pick your own apples is only on the weekends. So we got a small basket of apples for eating. I want to go back and pick a large basket for making apple sauce. I did pick up lids for my canning jars so I will be ready when we get the apples. I want to make apple sauce, I think I will freeze it though rather than canning it. That is what my MIL always did and I loved her applesauce, we like ours more tart than most people.
The weather was so nice that we sat on the front porch for quite a while. The neighbor across the way came over and we talked and learned about some connections we have with people we know and places that the family works. He was thrilled to learn that we have natural gas, he was told that the line ended further up the road and that it would not be available to him. Silly I know, but that was a major selling point for me when we bought this house. I love gas for cooking.
Better go get the laundry started and think about what I will be making for dinner. We had BLT's last night with tomatoes from the garden, I will sure miss them when they are over. I dried two pans of them yesterday and vacuum sealed them.
"See" you all later.

Hi everybody, have a smashing Humpday Very Happy

I did manage to get rid of some hair at the hairdressers' today Very Happy Very Happy Laughing Cool. It's hopefully short enough to survive our upcoming heat wave, cause our temps are going up again. Tomorrow and Friday it'll be 85F, no wind and smog warnings. Yuck. And on top of that Myo is being troubled by nausea again. Hopefully she's improving overnight otherwiseI'll have to call the vet for some advice or help.
Ann-Marie, glad you checked in. You have been missed. Hang in there, but as PattiT says 'stay with us'.
Vicki, I loved your duck picture. Smile
Martha, that's amazing. Hopefully you won't be too sore to enjoy it today.
PattiT, no apple pie? Oh well, apple sauce is yummy too with a bit of custard or yogurt. I prefer cooking on gas as well, especially when I do Asian cooking. My oven luckily goes on gas too. Glad to learn Debbie got out for dinner.
