Hi everyone,

So much for thinking it would be an easy day...had 25 critters!!!!! Crazy.

The boy that I am giving the bedroom set to told me that the bed he is sleeping in now is too short, and he sat/laid on ours, he loved it! Him and his Dad came over to check it out, wanted to make sure they wanted it before I sat it out at the curb.

Made a doc appt for today, sinuses are so overactive right now...hurt. Just took two decongestant pills, they help a lot.

PattiT - I've seen those spiders around here, she must be eating good if she is that big. Smile Wink

Good morning everyone. Brrr, left the windows open all night and it is a bit chilly this morning. I had to put a robe on this morning. Gary and I have been sitting on the porch every evening, it has been nice. Now that most of my flowers are over we don't see the hummingbird anymore.
We talked to our good friends from Philly, they are coming for a visit not this weekend but the next. It will be nice to see them.
I am very upset with hubby! I made a cherry cheesecake for him to take to work and he forgot to take it!! I had also bought him a Rubbermaid lunch blox kit, I had put that next to the cheesecake so he wouldn't forget that I had packed him a lunch, he remembered that but forgot the cheesecake. I wish I could drive that far, I would take it to him.
I had a nice long talk with Nick yesterday. He is done with chemo, now we wait, then he has a scan to see if all the cancer is gone. I will be on pins and needles until then. He says he feels a little better everyday now that he is not getting chemo. The Dr.s let him skip the last one, but he forgot to tell me. I am very sad that he didn't let me know. I only know because I asked when his last chemo was scheduled and he told me it was two weeks ago. Now I hope he can get some weight back on, how he is a child of mine I don't know, he has trouble gaining weight. That is a problem I have never had! He has actually been working 2 hours a day for the last two weeks.
He went to the Sheriff's office this week to see what he could do about the Marine Club (where he used to live) not paying him what the court ordered them to pay, for not returning his deposit. The sheriff's office helped Nick put a lien on the property management company's bank account. The Sheriff said, people usually pay pretty quickly once that happens. He also will be getting his disability and back pay any day now. So all in all, things are looking up for him. He has been a trouper through all this and I have no idea what any of us would have done without Tina.
I thought with all the prayers and good thoughts etc that every one has given you all deserved to know what is happening.
**Patti, I am very envious of your family reunion, no one on either side of our families does that anymore. It must have been wonderful to get to see everyone.
We fried the green tomatoes yesterday and I am glad that we had the windows open, I hate the way it makes the house smell. We are still getting lots of tomatoes, mostly from the San Marzano plant, we will definitely be planting those again.
Cute picture, are you the one in the middle?
**Fan, sounds like you are still getting the hot summery weather, it has been fall like here for the last week. We are hoping to be able to take our friends from Philly to Darryl's for a swim but with the cold nights and cooler days I think the water might be too cold.
I don't like to kill bugs that are not doing anything bad but that spider I read can lay up to 1000 eggs. I sure wouldn't want to see too many of them. They say that predators take care of most of them.
Hope you don't get too hot today and have a nice evening.
**Ann, I hope the Dr. is able to do something to help you with your sinuses. My one son James is feeling pretty sick right now, he spent last weekend with friends who have children and he said he never know what germ breeders kids can be. The whole family is sick, and they shared it with him.

I need to go check for more ripe tomatoes, add it to what I have in here and figure out what I am going to do with them.
Have a good day everyone.

Good day Ann-Marie, PattiT and everybody else, have a brilliant day Very Happy

I'm in the weekend already Very Happy . The weather is still steamingly hot and above me is a mild thunderstorm exploding. Just as I plan to go out for a grocery run Evil or Very Mad . It sure proves the weatherman wrong cause he said the rains could arrive late in the evening.
Ann-Marie, you seem to be suffering from a "birth wave". Hope everything goes well at the Doc's.
PattiT, I'm really happy to hear Nick is doing so well considering the circumstances. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you. Your hubby obviously doesn't realize what he's missing out on. I'd have taken the cheese cake and forgotten about lunch. Girl, you need a food fax and send it of to Nick instead. Don't worry about the spider babies, they do need to lay a 1000 eggs just to make sure that a few of them will be around next year Laughing
Hi to Tango, Debbie, Nubbins, Carolyn, Vicki and everybody else checking in.

Ok I will try this again. I have typed a post twice so far and both times, my screen froze up and I had to reboot the stupid thing.
Yes Pattit, that is me in the middle in the pink bikini, been a long tie since I wore one of those. I think I was about 23 in that picture. Already had 2 girls and had 2 more kids after that. .
I hope we get to keep having our family reunions and have an even bigger one next year. We may go to AR for it. My nephew that is 36 yrs old, isn't doing too well. He couldn't make it up here this year. He was born with Muscular Dystrophy and the drs told my sis that he wouldn't live to be 3, much less 36. I hope that he will be around for a lot longer but she told my other nephew that if he wanted to see him that he had better come and see him soon. I hope that doesn't happen, it will devastate her, she has already lost one child. Her dd was killed in a car wreck when she was 16 several yrs ago.
Ann-24 critters!! wow, I am sure you were busy yesterday. Hope you are doing well.
Fan- glad your weekend has already started. Try to stay cool and dry.
Pattit- I am glad that Nick is doing well, Fan is right, you need to fax that cheesecake to him!!!I would have taken it instead of the lunch box too.!!
Well I had better get up and get busy, I have 3 wedding cakes to do. I am thinking of baking the cakes and freezing the layers, so I can get them all done. My gs Jimi is getting married on the 21st of this month, then I have another wedding cake to do in Oct, and 1 in Nov.
Plus I am getting a baby boy to take care of for a month stating the 19th, the mother is my son Bob's ex gf, She got a dui and is going to have to spend a month in jail, her mom had a double stroke and can't take him. her only other option was to turn him over to state custody and that would be a nightmare trying to get him back. SO we are going to take him and Krys is going to take him part of the time. It will be different having a baby around full time, but I guess I can do it. I just hope he doesn't cry a lot. He is 18 months old.
I hope you all have a good dy. TTYL

Hi Everybody!

It's like fall weather here. Was down to 47° during the night! I've noticed some of the leaves are already falling from my Red Maple. I have started wearing socks to bed again Crying or Very sad

Grammadot - I loved the photo of you girls in your bikinis! Ah, those were the good old days, weren't they? So now you're going to have a baby for a month... whoa, good luck with that! I give you a lot of credit for stepping up.

Fan - I hope your weekend weather improves. Although a steamy hot thunderstorm sounds lovely to me, I suppose it's not when you have errands to run!

Pattit - Don't be too hard on Gary for forgetting the cheesecake.... When his co-workers hear about it they will give him an even harder time than you will! I'm so glad to hear Nick is done with the chemo! That is nasty stuff... but he will keep looking and feeling better and better now that it's done.

Ann - You poor girl! If it isn't one thing, it's another! Have you ever tried going to an eye-nose-and-throat specialist? Has the doctor tested you for allergies? (What if you're allergic to cats!!! Aaaarrrggg!!) Just kidding:wink:
And what is going on with the population explosion in your neck of the woods????

Well, "hi" to everybody else that checks in..... have a good weekend!

I know Martha. I am almost 62 yrs old, what am I thinking?? I will be pulling my air out by the time I give him back. We have 2 weddings to go to in that month, too. and both I am making the cake for. I do have someone that will be watching him for the first one.
I love that picture too. I had seen it years ago, but had forgotten about it until my sister brought it to the reunion last weekend. It was b&w though, I do remember that my bikini was pink. I am not sure if I got the other ones right or not.
We have a lot of leaves falling too. It was cold this morning I had to pull the top blanket over me. I may have to shut the windows at night soon.
Hope you have a good weekend too.
