Good morning everybody, have a smashing weekend Very Happy

Jeez, I could have known what was on top of me today. There was fire in the sky already early this morning.

It got overcasted while we were having coffee in the street and when I decided to go for a grocery run close to noon to the other side of the center it started drizzling a bit, but it didn't look too bad and I made it dry to the aimed supermarket. So far so good, but when I was finished over there and got out of the supermarket it was raining already and by the time I got home I was swimming in my shoes Sad . Nevertheless it so totally freshed me up, showering and biking at the same time Laughing
Grammadot, I can't wait to see you smile Wink
PattiT, thanks for telling us about Debbie. Hopefully she checks in soon again.
Chris, I didn't know about harissa being a dessert in Algeria.
I got some potatoes to peel for tonights dinner. Better start with it. TTYL

Morning,

{{{{{{Tango}}}}}}

Worked two 12 hr days Thur & Fri, I am wiped out today. Still, I have laundry going then I have an errand to run later.

Chris - I don't think we live that far from each other...what kind of cleaner do you use for the grout?? Smile Would gladly come up and help.

Sure has turned a bit cooler, have jeans and a sweatshirt on. Was cold in the house last night when we came home. Temp shows 53º right now.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Ann

Wow Grammadot, I love your smile and your dentures really do look great. I bet you are a happy trooper being able to surprise everybody with a great smile.
Ann-Marie, that must have been tough running two 12 hour days in a row. I'm taking my chances on the laundry too tonight and just hanged it outside overnight. It may be one of the last times of me ironing in the yard on a Sunday morning.
Tango, have a great weekend too. Just know I'll be thinking of you on Monday.
Temps were okay today, but the rains made it feel much colder than the actual temps, so I chose a winter dish for dinner; a potato mash with brown beans and bacon and a couple of bangers.

Morning,

It's about 49º here this morning, not turning the heat on til I absolutely have to! Want to keep the bills down as much as possible.

Noticed some of the trees turning as I drove to my sister's place yesterday...hard to believe it will be officially Fall (Sept. 22nd) soon. This year has been flying by. Not much of a summer. We only got one day of kayaking in too. Sad Mom said that the rain in the early Spring really messed it up for her and Donna, the river was to wild...the days might have been somewhat nice but the river was to fast and wild. Glad they came up here and we got the one trip in -- for several reasons.

Not much going on today. Waiting for the washer repair guy to call back. We brought Mom's washer & dryer up and the washer just doesn't sound right to me..don't want to ruin it, want someone to look at it. It's not that old and I know she had some work done to it at some point, don't want to mess it up.

Hope everyone has a quiet relaxing day.
Ann

Good morning everybody, have a smashing Sunday Very Happy

I've been puttering around today. Taking care of all kins of small things accumulated over the last few weeks. Now I'm left with an almost decluttered dining table and three magazines to go through.
I was able to do my ironing outside, the weather was sunny, slightly on the chilly side. Now I'm dying for a short nap on the couch, after having had apple balls for lunch.

But there seems to be a someone tucked in properly already occupying the couch Shocked .

Martha, don't know what they can do about Myo's teeth. Looks like I have to make inquiries about dentures?
Ann-Marie, hopefully the problem with the washer isn't too bad. Are you off today?
Carolyn, I'm happy to hear you have been released from surgery limitations. But take care for another while and don't overdo things.
I think I still may undertake an attempt to conquer the couch, would be so nice digesting lunch with my legs stretched out.

Fan - Yes, off today. Doing some cleaning and puttering of my own over here in the US. Smile Just wiped down the kitchen cabinets with some Murphy's Oil Soap, sure smells good in here now. Wiped off a coat hanger that my Dad had made years ago, was in Mom's attic, brought it home with me. Need to go upstairs and do the antique dresser next. Hoping the neighbors will come over soon for the dresser's so that I can walk into the hobby room without stubbing a toe! Shocked

You are accomplishing much more than I did today. I still have to finish those magazines and my kitchen cabinets probably have to wait for my cleaning lady Laughing . But I did manage to change one of the TL-tubes in my kitchen that had been waiting for two months already to be changed. And I succeeded in occupying the couch for almost an hour Wink
