Good Morning, Friends!

I have an unexpected "free" day today. So, we can spend it with my parents, and even more family. Smile

Fan - Enjoy your apples today! Very Happy
From last night: I have a question for you. The person I saw today (now, yesterday) said her family never made Dutch croquettes at home, because it was too time consuming. Are these typically bought as "fast food?" (The family was fantastic at baking/cooking.)

Greetings to all who pop in today!!

Good morning Vicki and everybody else, have a smashing day Very Happy

Vicki, awesome. I want to have the day off too. The weather is wonderful and I'm sitting here in the office with the fans on Sad
As far as the Dutch croquettes are concerned, true. They are not very difficult to make, but quite time consuming. That's why people most of the time by them as fast food or in a restaurant.

Good morning Vicki and Fan and all else who stop by. Lots of family stuff going on and not feeling well, but I just had to stop by today. I had finished up my applesauce and had all the tomatoes takes care of when guess what hubby bring in last evening. I never had so many tomatoes from the garden before. Hubby has a sore throat and doesn't want anything made with tomatoes right now, so I have to freeze them as he brings them in. I need to remember to use my canning funnel, I lost some tomatoes yesterday because they didn't go in my container. After the work of peeling them etc. I don't want that to happen again. I wonder how Carolyn is making out with all her garden bounty? Vicki, do you can your applesauce or freeze it? I froze mine in canning jars and it has hubby all confused. I gave my first jar away, to James, I keep reminding him to eat fruits and veggies.
I got a call from my DIL last night, we both were crying. She said hearing my voice made her feel better. I really hate what my sons decision has done to her but I told her I don't think he is going to change his mind so I hope she can move on and find happiness. It hurts my son that he has caused her so much pain, but he said it is over between them and he doesn't want to cause her any more pain by thinking she may have a chance and then breaking her heart all over again.
It is supposed to be another beautiful day here. I think I am going to get a shower and try to take a little walk, even if it is just around the house. I have been in so much pain and it is not getting any better. I am trying to hold out until my next appt. with my neurologist. Not sure if there is anything she can do to help me.
I seem to be doing nothing but whining, sorry.
**Fan, love the photos that you share with us. Sorry that you can not be out and enjoying the day. Work is a necessary evil though, isn't it? How is Myo doing?
**Vicki, I am super happy that you are seeing improvement. Sounds like you are getting lots of family time, that is great. I want to get some more apples, just to enjoy eating. The last ones we got were not very good for eating but they made fantastic applesauce. We are on the lookout for our favorite apples, the Nittany, I think they come in the beginning of Oct. and they go quickly.
**Martha, how are you doing. I bet you are having great weather also.
**Gramma, how are your teeth feeling? Will you be able to slow down now that the wedding is over?
Debbie, Carolyn, Chris looking forward to hearing from you all. I hope I haven't missed anyone.

Hi PattiT, can't you seduce your hubby with some tomato soup, before feeding him applesauce? I think Carolyn is really working hard to get as much from her garden bounty as she can. Smile and I hope she really has a good crop to last till the end of the winter.
The story of your DIL reminds me of my brother and my SIL. My brother decided to end his marriage too and I feel for my SIL. After over 30 years of marriage and three grown up kids my brother told her it was over between them.
Made my self gnocchi with zucchini and bacon for dinner, quick and simple.

Tomorrow is only a half day at the office, then another two after the weekend before three days of holiday. Yippiiiieeeee.

Hard to believe it's been two months today.

Have caught a nasty cold and called off work today. Have been sleeping with the kitties the past two days, haven't felt like doing much.
