Morning everyone,

Please pray/send good thoughts for a friend, Louise, she is getting a second opinion about cancer treatments.

Had a busy Saturday. Cleaned and then my Sis and her husband came up, spent the afternoon with me. Then they took me out for supper to a place called Cheddar's, was very good. I ate some Chicken Tortilla Soup. Mmm!

Yesterday we had planned on going to Peek 'n Peak for Fall Fest (http://www.pknpk.com/fallfest.html) but it was so cloudy all day and I was afraid if we drove all the way there it would start to rain. It did start to rain around 3 pm or so. We watched movies and played 3 games of Scrabble. Was just nice being home with Jim. Plus he changed the oil in the car.

The car is going to the garage today - front brakes and the two front tires need changed out. Jim is going to have them also do the spark plugs and wires while it's there...getting it ready for winter.

Better get around here, need to leave shortly for work.

Later,
Ann

Happy Monday to everyone...
I see Ann has not slowed down...lol always busy.

Fan - minced beef with bacon in puff pastry looked so good - now I'll have to play with puff for a while...I see you like sesame...me too. I often coat my bread pan with them -

Just tried to call Pat (nubbins) - she is with the PT - I can call back in an hour...so...she must be moving right along...will let you know what I find out.

Hi Ann-Marie, Qui and everybody else, have a smashing Monday Very Happy

Ann-Marie, prepping the cars for winter is a smart idea.Nothing worse as getting stuck in the middle of nowhere knowing you could have done a few things to prevent that from happening. Sorry to hear your Sunday got washed away, just like mine. It only needed one spell lasting from 9am all through 11pm Sad . Roads flooded and rainwater in the basements of lots of homes.
I'll say a prayer for your friend Louise.
Qui, thanks for the compliment and the update on Nubbins. Happy to hear she has PT already, she'll probably be exhausted from it. But it puts her mind in a forward mode, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
It was a Monday so totally against me, it was raining heavily when I walked to the office, but as soon as I entered it stopped and stayed dry until I got to get home again Twisted Evil . Forgot to take my wallet this morning only to find out in the flower shop wanting to send a bouquet to my sis for her B-day. So going through the rain again to pick up my wallet and go back to the flower shop. Luckily the Monday is almost over, the heater is still working and I still have an apple to munch away Wink

Hello girls. Seems as though everyone is staying busy. I processed a huge amount of tomatoes and ended up with three quarts of tomato juice, sure have lots of different tomato products in the freezer! Hubby says we don't have room for meat. I am working on three loads of laundry and am in the middle of making chicken salad, letting the hard boiled eggs cool before I chop them up. What is everyone else having for dinner?
**Ann, I will of course say a prayer for your friend Louise. I am glad you got some good family time this weekend.
**Qui, I hope you will be able to talk to Pat today. I hope she is not having too hard of a time with therapy. How do you keep your sesame seeds from going bad? Would keeping them in the freezer help?
**Fan, you have been getting soggy lately. Forgetting you wallet had to be very frustrating for you! Too bad you don't have a fireplace to sit in front of to get dry and warm.

Have to go finish up dinner, I hope we hear how Pat is doing.

I saw a recipe for that on Pinterest, the picture did not look as yummy as yours! will you share the recipe with us? We eat a lot of chicken and I am always looking for new ways to fix it.

Update on Nubbins...

I called first in the AM - she was in therapy -
tried again just after lunch - sleeping, nurse said she was exhausted...
Spoke with her this evening...they are sending her home tomorrow - providing home care for her -
it seems awfully quick, but I guess the docs know best...
Gave her greetings from all of you...
she will try to get on BS in the next few days...depends on how she feels.

And that's the news of the day...
