Morning everyone,

Our weather is changing rather quickly in the next few days. Sad We are to be in the 50's during the day, 30's at night. Brrr! Our local weather man said that Thur we'll have snow/rain mix, possibly up to an inch of that white stuff. Ick.

Made the ginger cookies, forgot how good they are. Smile

Headed to work shortly to see how many critters we have.

Later,
Ann

Happy Monday...

Ann - I'd send you some Florida sunshine if I could...I guess winter really is moving in... at least you have cookies Very Happy

breakfast was mashed banana, peanut butter, marmalade and cayenne in a tortilla - with coffee (banana was about to be bad company)

need to pick up milk and fruit today...plus a trip to the $ store to see what's new...and the post office

I think I need a nap

to all who follow...good day - good weather - good food - etc...or at least the fortitude to get thru the day with a smile.

Good morning ladies, We have had a very busy few weeks. Robby's book signing went well. He sold a few more books, but not as many as he had hoped for. But they are still going on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Books a Million. He was interviewed by the local station on Thursday and will be on tonight's news.
I did 2 wedding cakes this past weekend. Got them all taken care of, and was on the way home, I was talking to Jim on the phone and said that Becky's mom called and the police came and picked her up for not showing up when she was supposed to. Evidently the dr's office didn't turn in the papers saying that she should be in jail until her foot heals. So we have the baby now. She is going to call the dr and lawyer and try to get it Caliber is so cute, he will give us kisses, and he slept really good last night. He only cried a little when we first got here and wouldn't let me put him down. Jim had to go and get the port a crib out of the attic and bring it down. It would have been easier if we had known a few days ahead of time when we were getting him. We will make it though. Krys is going to take him part of the time.
I hope you all have a good day. and stay warm. It is 42 degrees here right now.
I can't do much around the house while I am watching him. My house is not baby friendly.

You won't believe it... Erik proposed! Smile I'm really happy, excited and still in shock which is why it took me so long to post here. I posted on facebook to family (wasn't really sure how to say... hey I'm engaged!) ... we're not really "hey look at me" kind of folks.

But I had to tell you all! We have been together 12 years! Not sure if this means pigs have flown and we should go out and buy a lottery ticket! But it's a great weekend!!!!

Any advice? I'm not a big wedding kind of person... neither is he. But I'm nervous if I underplay it too much well... this is the only time I really want to get married so if not now .. when right?

Thanks for your support all these years!!!! OXOXOXOXO

Wow Babette, congratulations Very Happy Very Happy . Patience obviously pays Wink No kidding, I'm really happy for both of you and wish you all the best a marriage can bring. And lots of roses.

But hey, advice from a single roving bachelorette? Laughing Only thing I can say is that if you are both not a big wedding kind of person, then keep it simple and personal with just family and close friends and make it your day.
Grammadot, you are awesome. Wedding cakes and now a baby, he looks really sweet. Smile
Hi Qui, thanks for sending sunshine to us. It really helps, we are going up to 70F tomorrow. If it lasts I might dig up my shorts again Laughing Have a fun day

Fan - always leave a pair of shorts within reach - in the deepest cold on the darkest day of winter, make a roast or bake some bread, put on your shorts, sit in front of the oven with your feet propped up while you sip some wine and dream of warmer weather....add a brownie and you'll be set.

A slow 2-3 week road trip up the coast - stop at a vineyard , say the I do's as the sun sets over the vines...wander with no other destination than each other.

How's that for a wedding plan?

If you sorta want to include some family and friends...Take lots of pics and ask one of them to plan an "after party" for when you get home.

If you absolutely, positively have to include some family and friends...tell them which vineyard you chose for the ceremony...and let them meet you there - have a glass of wine and still ask one of them to plan the "after party"

Of course, you could do the deed on facebook - on one of your Thurs. night broadcasts...invite the world - and for those not on FB - you could email a copy - or post it here - or all of the above.
