Morning everyone,

What a beautiful start to the day, sun & blue sky!! Very Happy And the snow picture I showed you the other day, it's all gone...with the warmer temps we had yesterday made it melt quickly.

Not much new really. We have 16 or 17 critters, just right to keep everyone working and not get called off.

Headed out with a friend today, going to pick her up then we are headed out for breakfast. Maybe I can talk her into going to the shoe store with me too. Smile

Later,
Ann

Hello friends. We had such a fun time with our friends in the Pocono Mountains. We had such a great time that we are thinking of going back in the spring. Our friends asked for a condo with a handicap friendly bathroom on the first floor. We ended up getting a newly renovated condo, we were the first to ever stay in it. Brand new furniture, carpet everything. We burned a fire in the fireplace every evening. Never did toast the marshmallows though. We went to the outlets one day and I got a really cute sweater and a lace bottomed tank to wear underneath. We tried out some local breweries, one was within walking distance of where we stayed. On Veteran's day we got free lunch at Texas Roadhouse for our veteran husbands, and free dinner at Red Robin. We joked about if we had just gotten out and about early they could have had free breakfast also.
I was happy that we were able to find a handicap accessible trail to two falls.
Did I miss much while I was away?
I hope everyone is well.
**Ann, that seems like a LOT of critters! Going out for breakfast with a friend sounds nice. The sun is shining bright here also. Good luck finding a great pair of shoes, it can be tricky some times.

I will try and post some pictures from our vacation.

Hi everybody, have a smashing weekend Laughing

It's official now, Sinterklaas has hit the country today accompanied by his helpers and invade my favourite bakery. He made sure his coming didn't go unnoticed.

They were everywhere; between the Holland rusk..

and coming down from the ceiling.

He'll probably strike locally next Saturday Laughing
PattiT, glad you had such a good time in a brand new condo with handicap accessible trails. Can't wait to see your pics.
Ann-Marie, lucky you with the snow having melted away on your day off. Enjoy the breakfast with your friend.

Here is a photo of the place we stayed in, wraparound porch, two stories, the back half (can't see it) was a separate place.

This is the Fort the place was named for, it was right across the street from where we stayed and directly behind it was the Deleware River.

This is Dingman's Falls.

Us in front of the falls.

This is Buttermilk Falls.

Morning everyone,

PattiT - sounds like you had a wonderful time and the pictures are wonderful too! Buttermilk Falls is on my to do list. When I look up waterfalls for PA they are normally the first to come up. Smile

Fan - same here, Santa was already at the Millcreek Mall yesterday getting his picture taken with the kids! Shocked Shocked Too early. They were even playing Christmas music in some of the stores. Confused They need to go back to the time when they didn't start anything for Christmas til AFTER Thanksgiving.

Had a wonderful day yesterday, my friend and I had a really nice breakfast at a place called "Heartland." Was an old house with a gift shop on the front and the restaurant in the back. Did get to the shoe store, found shoes too which I was in bad need of. Then we drove over to Presque Isle, stopped at North Point but it was so windy we didn't stay. Didn't go home til after 6.

Better get around here, need to leave shortly.
Ann

Good morning everybody, have a great Sunday Laughing

PattiT, that's an awesome place to spend your vacation. Nice pics too. BTW where did Gary find his cap?
Ann-Marie, our Sinterklaas is slightly different from yours. We celebrate his birthday on december 6th, so coming in three weeks before that is acceptable and luckily most people stick to that except for the candy manufacturers. Laughing
Congrats on the new shoes. Smile
I'm busy on the bills today, yuck. I can see the money fly away Sad . Better get it finished and go bankrupt I suppose. TTYL

Fan, I got that hat for Gary when we went away for our anniversary, it was handmade by a local man, fabric and all. I was surprised that your part of the world seemed to be rushing the season, but I do remember St. Nicholas Day, Dec. 6.

I started a crockpot of cider to cook down yesterday, it looked like it hadn't cooked down enough at bed time so I put it on low, darn it if it hadn't turned it self off sometime during the night. I had to restart it this a.m. Sheryle told me that is how she makes her cider syrup.
