Good Morning, Friends!

Today with snow falling, I'm home with housework, local errands, and cooking on the agenda. Doesn't look like I'll have time for baking.

Ann - I'm sorry for not using the word "critter(s) initially. What kind of cookies are you baking?

Fan - Sinterklaas is hitting your town today! Usually he does not arrive in Holland, Michigan until the first weekend in December. Enjoy your special, fun day! (By the way, I've called a Mediterranean store for pearl sugar. Out of stock now.)

Greetings to all,
~~Vicki

I typed up a big long post yesterday and then it disappeared. I tried to get it back but finally gave up and went to bed.
Debbie is back in the hospital again. Her daughter Tiffany said that her Dad found her unresponsive and had her transported to the hospital. She is on life support again, I checked this morning and Tiffany said her arms and legs are twitching but that is all, such sad news once again. Tiffany said this is the 9th time in 2 years. Her birthday is on Tuesday, looks like it won't be a happy one. I hope they are able to help her. I will let you know when I hear anything.
Madison may be coming over today. Her Mom has some work she needs to catch up on and her Daddy is in Fla. They will be bringing me some baked goods that I had ordered from a fundraiser. I had forgot all about it.
Hubby is bear hunting and should be home this evening.
I got some more injections in my spine, I ended up getting a little more sore this time, but I am feeling much better this morning. I thought I was being clever and kept the ice packs they put on my in the operating room to reuse. I put them in the freezer when I got home and reused them, unfortunately I didn't notice one was leaking and it took the color out of the clothes I was wearing and out of my back brace. Lesson learned, trying to save money doesn't always work the way you intended! The injections really seem to be working this time and last. I have been able to walk so much better, I still get the numbness but the pain is so much less. I have had so many of these done over so many years and with so many different Dr.s that I really didn't expect much. It really does seem like a miracle. Enough about us.
**Fan, I love seeing the different celebrations from your area. The flower shop was so festive. Anything special this weekend?
**Ann, you mentioned quiet I can't imagine quiet with that many critters. My thoughts and prayers are with you for this holiday season, I know it will be a hard one. I am glad that you feel like you can lean on us. It is such a great feeling to know that we can help in some way.
**Vicki, seems like you are not having much luck with that sugar. Have you tried anyplace on line? Don't do too much this weekend.
**Gramma, I am amazed at how you are doing with Caliber, they can really take a lot out of you at that age. He really does enjoy his time with you both, that has to be a good feeling for you. How much longer will he be with you?
**Martha, what have you been up to lately? Hubby's hunting buddies got 5 bucks and 5 does in N.Y. He said that a trapper took 25 coyotes and they thing that is what helped raise the amount of deer they got. Not sure where we will be able to put the meat in the freezer, it is full of garden goodies!
**Marsha, I hope you come back, we love new members.
**Carolyn, hope you holiday season is looking brighter than the past couple of years.

Guess I better go get myself together, talk to you all later.

PattiT - Sounds like you have a fun day ahead with Madison coming over. Thank you for telling us about Debbie. I definitely will hold that whole family in my prayers.

Hi everybody, have a smashing weekend Very Happy

Ann-Marie, I soo hope the snow stays away. Drive carefully.
Vicki, sorry to hear they ran out of pearl sugar.
PattiT, thanks for telling us about Debbie. Indeed very sad, I'll keep her in my prayers. Glad to hear you are doing better on those injections and looking forward to a fun weekend with Madison
Sinterklaas has arrived today in my city. The place was crowded with kids Laughing And the weather was wonderful, quite chilly but very sunny.

Next week he'll visit my street.
After his arrival I proceeded to the railway station, to see a bone rack of a T-rex hunting commuters. Laughing Was awesome seeing a life size copy of the skeleton above my head.

Spent over three hours on my feet and I'm so totally falling into pieces right now. My legs are going to be as stiff as a board tomorrow morning Rolling Eyes

Hi everybody, have a smashing Sunday Very Happy

I kept a low profile today Wink. My legs were still sore from yesterdays long walk. I've spent my day wrapping up Sinterklaas gifts and putting them in a box, so I can send them off tomorrow to Japan. It turned out to be quite a challenge/battle to keep Myo out of the box. It took another two spare boxes to divert her interest from my box. But it's all wrapped up and boxed, so I'm done for Sinterklaas.
Anything exciting happening on your side of the pond?

Madison decided her friend Madison, yes it gets confusing, needed to spend time with us also today. They tried valiantly to play outside but it was way too windy and cold to stay out for very long. They built a city out of Lego's, made up a dance routine and played a hunting game on t.v. I made dinner for us all, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn that I had cut off the cob and froze this summer.
As soon as I got the house back in order I searched for the latest news about Debbie, Tiffany said:
Mom is doing much better she is on a liquid diet due to her throat irritation from where she pulled the tube out yesterday. She was talking and is in good spirits. Thank you all
I think she meant for our prayers. It seemed touch and go for a while, sounds like she is doing better today.
**Fan, I think Myo was hoping for a trip to Japan and you thwarted her.
Gotta go get ready for bed, I was up until 3 this morning coughing, darn allergies again.
See you sometime tomorrow.
