Morning everyone,

The tree is up and the decorations are out. Was hard I'll admit. Was in the basement digging out the boxes and I was crying the whole time. Came up, stood here in the TV room just hugging Jim, crying/sobbing the whole time. Thank you all for your caring & all knew how close Mom and I was. Felt like I was just going through the motions of putting the tree up. Sad

Looks like we are under a winter weather advisory again -- snow/rain/freezing rain. UGH!! Not liking that forecast at all, don't mind the snow but that darn freezing rain, don't like it.

We went to the grocery store yesterday and bought some chicken legs. Found a recipe on-line, will have to type into our December recipe post, was REALLY good! Smile

The kitties are doing pretty good with the tree, have to get after Leo once in awhile to leave it alone, he nibbles on the branches. Rolling Eyes Just caught Willow taking off a decoration. LOL! I put it up the tree is bare on the bottom and all the decorations on higher than normal. Laughing

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Ann-Marie and everybody else, have a smashing day Very Happy

Ann-Marie, it's a good thing you did put it up and had a good cry, it really helps in dealing with the sad feelings. These motions were there all the time just waiting for a chance to come out. Hopefully Willow and Leo will loose interest quite soon and leave the tree alone, there are quite some videos on Youtube of cats hanging in decorated Christmas trees and pulling them over.
My tree is up too. I did it this morning with the help of a friend who came over for a cup of coffee. It's the first time in my life that the tree is up before I have sent off the Christmas cards. Usually I'll put the tree up around the 15th, just like when I was little.
Today I really had the idea that my vacation has started, no feeling of having to hurry to get things done or follow a schedule, no appointments, no nothing. Still plenty of household chores, but I can pick one or two each day instead of having to do almost everything on Fridays or Saturdays. Today I'm gonna sort out a pile of paperwork and tomorrow I'll start my Christmas cards. Smile
