Good Morning, Friends!

Driving to the grocery store is on the agenda... milk, eggs, and other basics are needed. However, I will wait until rush hour is over. I also have a few calls to make: my brother (Arizona) and niece (Florida) share a birthday today. Certainly warmer than here! Smile

What are you doing today?

I had a very nice Christmas. All my children were here, best part of any holiday. Nick and Tina left last evening, I am always sad to see them go but they both share a birthday, January 9th, so I will see them then. We always go to the Farm Show then and at a really good buffet you get a free meal on your birthday (with a paying guest) so we go with them there. I think our son James may join us for that. Darryl and Ann got us a new camera that hubby will have to learn to use, it all seems pretty easy to me.
Lots of laundry to do today but that is about it, some straightening up also.
What is everyone else up to?
By the way no news since she was sent to a regular room, about Debbie. I will keep you posted with what I know.
**Vicki, I went to the grocery store with Nick and Tina yesterday. We thought it very odd that the two places we went had no Christmas candy on sale?? We are wondering if maybe they keep them until next year?? It just seems very odd that the shelves were absolutely bare with a sign showing the employees were to put the Valentines candy. Stores were not crowded because there was a surprise snow storm.
Hope everyone else had a nice Christmas.

Hi Vicki, PattiT and everybody else hopping in, have a great day Very Happy

Vicki, I did go to the grocery store as well today. The place was so totally empty Cool despite of the Christmas things on discount. Probably the storm and rainy weather had a lot to do with that. It was like nobody seemed to be willing to get out of bed today. Even the roads were and still are empty.
PattiT, glad you had a nice Christmas with everybody at your place. Over here the Christmas candy isn't on sale either. It usually goes on sale after New Years day. But the veggies and meats are on discount, so I got me some chicken and veggies.
So sad Debbie had to spend Christmas in hospital, thanks for keeping us posted PattiT.

Hi Everybody!
Had a nice holiday too. Spent the day at my daughter's house. She made a beautiful baked ham. It was kind of fun with her animals...3 dogs & 2 cats. They all opened their own gifts and had a ball with what I gave them. (Rawhide chews for the dogs and catnip mice for the cats) It's almost like having grandchildren!

Jim is being a scrooge! I don't know why, but he hates Christmas. I think he gets depressed and grumpy. So I told him that he didn't have to join us if he didn't want to... and he didn't. Humbug!

I am assisting in the kitchen tonite at the Club in addition to bringing dessert. I made an Eggnog Bundt Cake with rum flavored frosting drizzled over the top and some Frosted Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. I figured everyone is tired of Christmas cookies... I know I am! Sarah (dd) took the last of them to work today.

My daughter and her fiance are going to visit friends in Austin, Texas for New Years. So I will be watching her animals until they get back. That might be a little more time than I want to spend with the "grandkids" but what ya gonna do?

I'm glad everybody had a nice Christmas. Now it's back to laundry and grocery shopping, right?

Hi to everybody else out there..................
