Morning,

We had the rain late last night, hard rain too. The snow on the back deck has thawed. Now I hear the wind. Computer temp is showing 30º but for the day it's to be in the 20's or teens, but with the wind chill factor...BRRR!!! It's snowing too, the road is getting covered already.

Talked to a friend from down home yesterday afternoon, been friends since school...good to talk to her. I needed it. Had a good hour visit.

Better get around here, Jim wanted to get up so he could take me to work. Oh! He came home last night and told me that the black Taurus is leaking radiator fluid. Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad Really don't want to drive Mom's car in this weather, hoping he figured out where it was leaking last night and could fix it.

Later,
Ann

Good morning everybody, have a brilliant start of the week.

Ann-Marie, be careful out there and stay warm. I heard about extreme cold weather coming up in the USA.
Carolyn, sorry but I sometimes miss the last posts of the day here due to the fact that I'm living 8 hours ahead of you. I'm simply sleeping by then Embarassed .
I'm back in the office today. Lots of stuff to pick up after being off for a month, like about a hundred of e-mails with requests and advertisements. Each requests requires about 20 minutes in avarage, apart from archiving Evil or Very Mad . Still have quite a few to work on. Stay warm everybody, I'll be back later Wink

Hubby and I did some grocery shopping in between ice storms yesterday. My one son made it home from Philly driving carefully through the icy roads. The schools had a two hour delay due to icy roads and I am thinking they might get sent home early because of the temps getting colder and then I am sure the roads will be icy again. Our temperatures are to be the coldest in 20 years. Glad that I don't really have to be out in it.
This week on Thursday is Nick and Tina's birthday, I always think that it is funny that they both have the same birthday. We always take them to the Farm Show and then to Shady Maple for their birthday meal.

Here are some photos from the Farm Show. It is very interesting to go. We always buy some food there, but we don't want to eat too much, because Shady Maple has such great food.
We are having spaghetti with meat sauce and a bread recipe from Danielle for dinner. What is every one else having?
I am going to give Debbie a call and see how she is feeling.
Have a great day everyone.

Hello ladies, Jim and are both still sick. I was supposed to go to my soc sec disability hearing today, but our roads are iced over and I a still sick. I am wheezing and coughing. I called my lawyer and she has the flu too, so she called and had it postponed. I am so glad because I really didn't want to get out in this cold. It is down to 7 degrees right now but the wind chill is -10 or something like that.
Pattit- it is the same here. coldest that it has been in 20 years.
Luckily we stocked up on a lot of groceries last time we went to town.
Fan-stay safe and warm
Ann-it is a good feeling to talk to old friends isn't it?
Hello to everyone else. I am going to get back under the covers and stay warm. TTYL

Grammadot, staying warm isn't too difficult with 55F for a high Laughing . Staying dry is another story, we are having big down pours at the moment as a way of punishment for our comfortable temps. Glad to hear your hearing is being postponed. Having the flu at the same time as your lawyer made it a lot easier I suppose. Get well soon.
PattiT, is that show continuing till Thursday. It really looks good on the pics. Will you tell us how Debbie is doing?
No spaghetti for me today, but gnocchi with cream sauce, runner beans and bacon.

I talked to Debbie for a little while today. The were delivering a hospital bed for her. She seemed pretty scared of her condition. We talked a little about dieting and then a nurse arrived, so I let her go. She said she would call me back in a couple of days. She said her nurse thought that the hospital had discharged her too soon.
Sadly a couple of minutes ago Tiffany said that her Mom is being transported to the hospital again, they are to check her out at the local hospital then they want her sent to Cleveland. Her C O levels are way to high and she stopped breathing twice last night. Last time she was in the hospital the said it was hard to intubate her and they wanted to put in a permanent trach, she really didn't want to have that done.
I hope and pray that. The Cleveland hospital is able to help her.
