I don't have much time but I wanted to let you know that they got Debbie to Cleveland. I will try to check in now and then to let you know how things are going.
The other thing I wanted to let you all know, Nick goes for a scan today to make sure he is still in remission, any prayers would be greatly appreciated. He will be coming here as soon as he hears the results. He and Tina will spend the night and then we will be going to the Farm Show etc.

Morning PattiT and everyone,

PattiT
- prayers being said for Nick & Debbie. Glad they got her outta of that other hospital. My faith in docs has deteriorated, no trust in them whatsoever.

Kept hearing on the radio and the news that the PA/NY turnpike between Erie and Rochester was completely closed yesterday. They were getting hammered with more snow and wind up that way. It actually got nice in the afternoon, sun shined and a bit of blue sky. Was a good drive home, the roads were good but still had to watch...slick spots from the wind blowing.

Martha - are you snowed in?!!

Jim brought Toes in while it was so cold, he said Tiger wanted nothing to do with being inside. Told him he can put Toes back out today, it's to warm up.

This picture kind of sums up the cold/wind chill:

Suppose to go to the movies with a friend today but she had fallen the other day so I don't know if we are going, she might not be able to sit that long in the theater seats. Headed over to the salon around 11 to get a hair cut, it's shaggy looking and rather long.

Later,
Ann

PattiT, I'll keep my fingers crossed for Nick and for Debbie too. BTW congrats on the b-days of Nick an Tina.
Ann-Marie, I love your pic. Laughing I'm happy that the worst is over for both the outside kitties. Have fun today.
Still lots of work for me at the office, I'd better be diligent Rolling Eyes
Stay warm and dry everybody, TTYL

Good Morning, Friends!

We are celebrating birthdays at a distance today, and making telephone calls. My Dad and oldest granddaughter share their birthday today!! My granddaughter still claims she had the birthday first (will change when she's a little older). Smile

The snow here is due the storm and then lake effect since Sunday through Tuesday night. Temperatures are so cold that the salt/sand is not functioning... very non-typical. Schools and colleges/universities opened for the first time today since Christmas break. Ares (our German shepherd) only stays outside for a walk. Karl was temporarily stuck on his mom's street and then our street as he cleared the roofs.

PattiT - Prayers continue for Debbie and Nick.

Ann - How much snow do you have? This morning is wonderfully sunny for the first time since last week!

Fan - Don't work too hard!

Greetings to all who pop in!
~~Vicki

Vicki - kind of hard to say, in some spots over a foot...in other places less. On the drive home last night seen some lawns with the foot of snow (or more), drive a few feet and would see a lawn that was wind-swept from that wicked wind from Mon & Tue.

No lawns without snow. Mailboxes - Snow 2/3 up to the top of the mailboxes. So, we'll still receive the mail. Very Happy

So, I don't know if much snow will melt (only harden) when temperatures reach a high of 34-36 F on Friday through Sunday (and re-freeze every night)!! True warmth. Smile

~~Vicki

Things are not looking very good for Debbie. The Dr.s want to put her back on the vent, and give her a trach. They are saying she might need to go to a nursing home. It is all so very sad. I hope and pray that the Dr.s will find a way to help her that will be less drastic.
Nick is here and all his tests turned out good.
