Hi everybody, have a great day and stay out of the snow Smile

The news had it this morning that the USA is back to polar weather conditions again. Hopefully it will not be as bad as the last time. Drive carefully if you have to go on the roads and otherwise heat up the furnace, pour another cup of hot coffee or tea and stay warm Rolling Eyes
Or maybe an even better option, come over to my office with an inside temperature of 77F.
PattiT, did Gary and your son manage to get home safe yesterday? Glad to hear Debbie sounding so good on the phone. Can't wait to see her posting again. Myo is doing fine, she suddenly decide she only wants to have the dry cat nibble and no more canned food. Laughing And I soo totally don't mind cause this makes it a lot easier to go out for the weekend. Dry food doesn't go stale and smells less in the summer heat.
I'm busy putting up my project calendar and tracing some historical documents today. Need to get that done and over with before I leave, but lunch comes first. Wink TTYL

Good Morning all

Joy put up a recipe challenge on FB, it was for cinnamon. I took a recipe from recipegirl & adapted it, it only called for 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon I bumped it up to 4 tsp.!! LOL Cinnamon apple pie cake

I did mine early cause I'm going in for surgery next Tuesday to get the problem solved!!! SWEET!!! YAY!!! So I know I will not feel like baking & don't know if I'll be able to bend to get stuff in & out of the oven?! I'm working on a chicken veggie pomodoro dish now to eat later.

Hope all have a great day & stay safe!!

Hi Tango, yummy cinnamon apple pie. That really makes the appetite for my sammies disappear. I want a slice of that pie!!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you next Tuesday, hang in there and get well soon.

Hello girls, we did some grocery shopping today. That is an expensive chore no matter how careful you are. It was pretty slippery on our street and I slipped going out our door. Thankfully I only skinned my hand. Hubby and both sons made it home safely yesterday. It was 0 degrees when we got up this morning, brrrrrr.
This afternoon I made some mocha chocolate chip cookies for Gary to take and share at work, I think I should have gotten more butter when I was at the store!
Madison is coming to spend the night tomorrow and then Friday we have our spa day. We will sure enjoy that.
**Tango, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your dessert looks super yummy. Something like that might make good use of the apple pie filling that I froze that has too much cinnamon in it.
**Fan, our cat always preferred dry food. He used to get the wet food in his mouth and then bring it into the kitchen and spit it out. We couldn't leave him for any amount of time because he would not use the litter box if it wasn't cleaned out after every use. Myo seems like a much more independent kitty.

Between phone calls and texts this has taken quite a while so I think I will close for now.
