Morning everyone,

Whew...we got slammed in the afternoon, had two critters come at the same time then another about an hour and a half later. Crazy. They ran my legs off!! Was tired when I got home.

Vicki - nothing for St. Patrick's Day, had to work til 7:30. I don't think I've ever had corned beef, if I did I don't remember it or how it tasted. Our warm up starts today, cooler on Thur then back up into the 40's for a day or so.

Fan - yep, "ºF". We aren't up with the rest of the world in Celsius or metric.

Taking Mom's car to the garage this morning on the way to work, when I start it up it's really loud plus it needs an alignment...the roads are terrible in Erie, the potholes are getting wider and deeper every week. Sad Confused Someone wrote into the paper and told the city of Erie that they need to start fixing them or someone is going to send them the bill of getting tires or an alignment after hitting a pothole. LOL!! Very Happy

Hope everyone has a great day!
Ann

Good morning Ann- Those pot holes can be very dangerous too. My mom hit one a few months before she passed away. It caused her air bag to go off, and she wrecked and broke her leg, plus lots of bruises, that is what caused her to have the blood clot that killed her.

How have you been doing?
I have been getting ready for my craft show this weekend. Got a lot done, but still not through. I have to be there at 9:00 am on Friday.
I went before the Social Security board on Monday and got approved for my disability, Not going to be enough to live on, but luckily Jim makes enough. But they are paying back pay to Feb 2012.

Well I had better up and get busy, I am making cupcakes and mini pies today.
Talk to you later, have a good day.

Here is my candy album

Tuesday morning greetings...
This is the first time I've made it on in a while. The site just didn't want to load.
So...sitting here with coffee and some cookies (mint grahams)
I spent last Thursday, Friday and Saturday running around in a golf cart at Gator Nationals (races) We ferried folks from their cars to the gate and other destinations around the track. All for tips - all proceeds for veterans. Sometimes this volunteer stuff is lots of fun.
Monday and Tuesday I made a yellow rice and pork casserole and roasted some onions, potatoes and broccoli with sausages so we didn't have to cook the rest of the week.
Feel well, stay well, have fun. enjoy life ...

Hi everybody, have a fantastic day Very Happy

Qui, sounds like a lot of fun ferrying folks around. Did you make a lot of money for the veterans?
Ann-Marie, be careful driving. You may need an army tank soon with all these potholes and a helmet Wink .
Grammadot, congrats on your approval. Every small amount helps making ends meet a little easier. Your candy album looks amazing, I have no doubt you are going to be a hit on the craft show.
I had a busy day today, questions and questions, puzzles, rain [we needed that], hot water supply breaking down, phone calls, and all kinds of other stuff. I need my holiday, I suppose. Might try to do some last minute shopping tomorrow, but for now I don't even want to think about tomorrow. I'm finished and gonna drag my self to the couch. See y'all tomorrow Laughing

Hello girls, finally getting on here. Seems like I am always having trouble getting on here. Busy, or computer problems and on and on.
Madison's birthday went so well. We had beautiful weather, all guests were able to make it. She loved her turkey dinner, and I wished I would have remembered to take a picture of her as we cut into her cake, she squealed with delight when she noticed it was tie dyed. Funny, I put raspberry jam between the layers and she liked that more than the icing, I was very surprised. I got thrown out of the kitchen about an hour before the meal and everyone took over and finished the meal and then cleaned up after. I was in such pain, I don't think I could have been much good anyway. I couldn't believe how nice the weather was! I watched Madison practice softball hitting, we were afraid a window was going to get broken. She really hits hard! There was enough leftover for everyone to take home another plate to have later, that is always nice. Hubby made some stock and froze some turkey to do something with later.
I am making ribs and baked cabbage for dinner. Yesterday was spent running to appt.s so no Irish food or celebrating for us. We woke up to two inches of snow, until we got home it had all disappeared. Not sure how that happened it didn't warm up and it wasn't sunny??
**Ann, I hope the car doesn't cost too much in repairs. The roads around here are downright scary also.
**Gramma, what a terrible thing to have happen to your Mom. You sure have been busy getting ready for the craft show. I am glad the long road to getting your disability is over. Seems like it is never enough for anyone to live on.
**Qui, I don't care for mint but I bet my hubby would like your mint grahams. What kind of race is the Gator Nationals? What a great thing to be contributing to.
Time for me to go put the cabbage in the oven. Hope to be back sometime soon, tomorrow my sister is coming for a visit. We haven't gotten together since the beginning of November, so I think it will be a long visit.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

The Gatornationals = National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) national drag racing event held each March at Gainesville Raceway.

I don't have the total for the event yet, but I collected over 250.00 for the 3 days. Plus 2 dozen cookies.
