Fan - had Tue & Wed off...was wonderful to have those days off in a row. 15 more days I will be on vacation. Very Happy

Vicki - hopefully you are getting nice weather up there.

Jim and I messed around with the rug scrubber trying to figure out why it isn't spraying anymore, we had it apart twice, cleaned all the hoses out then put Lime-Away through go. Sad There must be another hose that we are missing that is plugged. Watched a couple of videos on Youtube, several people said that something in the handle gets all gummed up from hard water. We 'tried' to take the handle apart but it wouldn't pop, so we gave up on that, was afraid of breaking it.

It was yucky in the morning but turned out to be a beautiful day, was sunny & blue sky in the afternoon. Went out for supper, wasn't too impressed with the restaurant. Sad

Came home and we cleaned out the gutters on the front & back of the house. So much crap in them. Glad it was done since we are to get more rain tomorrow.

Better get around here, need to brush my teeth yet.

Good Morning, Friends!

Inside work rather than outside work was the goal yesterday. With more rain in the forecast, more inside work is planned. Like Ann, I want to wash the carpeting in the living room, but part of the carpet is covered by a permanent bookshelf built by Karl's Dad. Other than the living room, only two other rooms have carpeting. (What a blessing that I can do even part of this work this year!)

I also have more purple irises planted in the front yard, and yellow irises in the back yard. The irises are always special, because my grandma's name was Iris. With daffodils, tulips, irises, and daylilies, and lavender... most of the front yard has perennials. The daffodils are now blooming.

Ann - I hope you find out what is going on with your rug scrubber. This is a good reminder for us to check our rug scrubber before we move all the furniture. AND, countdown to your vacation... woohoo!

Fan - With your first king in years, I'm surprised orange fever is off to a slow start. Is the Dutch pronunciation for orange: o rin' ya? (The "i" is long.) People have one or the other (English orange) for their last names.

Hi Vicki, Ann-Marie and everybody else, have a great day.

Vicki, the pronunciation is "o rayn ye". Very Happy . The slow start of the fever is partly due to the fact that it's gonna last for more than two months, very likely till after the World Soccer Championship which is quite some time for a shop window. So most shopkeepers don't want to extend that period by starting early and besides that they have barely done away with the Easter decorations. With only a week between Easter and King's day it was difficult to make an early start cause that would have meant skipping Easter.
Ann-Marie wow, that's almost a mini vacation Wink The rug scrubber sounds like a complicated tool to me. But cleaning the gutters is a good thing, I still need to have that done by somebody.
Our weather started out yucky too, then changed into beautiful and sunny and by now it's yucky again. We may be in for some rain a thunderstorm tonight.
Debbie, how are you doing? I've been watching the eagle chicks everyday and they are getting big.
PattiT, did you have a good time with your sis today?

Fan - I am notorious for writing the Dutch pronunciation wrong, but saying it correctly. Apologies! I was unaware that the celebration lasted two months... no wonder the orange fever is slow.

What is everyone having for dinner? I am making Danielle's chicken with pasta and a tossed salad. Almost ready to go!
