Whew, had a busy day yesterday. We started out sitting on the deck yesterday morning then we headed over to Elk Creek to walk a few of the trails. Seen a few flowers that are getting ready to bloom so will have to go over a day to get pictures. The squawroot was still there but it looks like it's dying a way already. Wanted Jim to see it before it totally went a way. Such a cool little flower.

Came home, got ready and went to the grocery store to get a few things for lunch. We got everything ready then put it all in the fridge 'til we came back from the book sale.

Did really good at the sale...found 8 more Pillsbury's for my collection, now I'm down to 40 that I need. Found an old Ida Bailey Allen cookbook too. Probably found 10 or 15 books for $18. Will go again on Friday since that is their $2 bag day. Smile Told Jim I probably won't bring anything home but there are so many books that many are buried and there was SO many people...I get antsy in a crowd.

Got back home and we made fried chicken tenders with a honey-lime sauce, wasn't too bad. I found it on Allrecipes. The coating needed to be kicked up a little bit but the honey-lime sauce was wonderful.

Went over to Conneaut Beach for a little bit, that darned wind made my ears hurt. Dug around in the sand and stones looking for beach glass. Hadn't done that for over a year.

Better get around here, my schedule is messed up today because of so few critters...going in late than I like but what are you gonna do, don't want to lose too many hours.

Good morning girls. Computers are acting up again, worked on them for hours and thought I had everything working again, but on my laptop I started posts 2 or 3 times and if I touched any part of the computer other than the keys my post would disappear. I have no clue why that would be happening. I am using the desktop I think I have everything running smoothly on here now.
Yesterday our one son came over and brought steaks to cook on the grill for Father's day. He visited with us all day, it was so nice. He brought his dog with him and he was having the time of his life watching all of the rodeo animals, horses, bulls, goats and dogs. He was very well behaved, the only problem we had was that he is a drooler (boxer) and hubby was upset that he drooled on the carpet. The steaks were good and we had green beans and spaetzle with it. I used lots of the herbs that I am growing and sadly when it was all done we couldn't even taste any of the herbs.
Saturday we went to Madison's swim meet, had to be up and on our way pretty early. We stopped for pizza at one of hubby's favorite pizza shops. We rarely get to it because it is so far away so it was nice that we all met up there after the meet for pizza. We had our swim bags ready to go swimming at Darryl and AnnMarie's but it was only 70 degrees and windy and the pool temperature wasn't much warmer, 74 I think. Madison and her friend were the only people crazy enough to get in. The adults enjoyed the new patio furniture watching the girls swim.
Friday we had torrential rains and tornado warnings so Madison's softball game was cancelled.

**Ann, sorry to hear of your low critter count. I hope it picks up soon and no ones paychecks are too affected. Gary and I saw that strange flower in the woods last year when we were walking a trail, I will have to look it up and see what it says about them. I thought it might have been some type of mushrooms.
You didn't say whether you had found any sea glass, did you? We had our wind on Saturday.
Sounds like you found some treasures at the book sale.
**Fan. that yearly bee market sounds very interesting. We love honeys and try to buy local ones. It is supposed to help with allergies if you buy local honey. We also love buckwheat honey, it has such a good taste to it.
My swelling in my ankle has almost gone away, but it still throbs with pain, I am wondering if the specialist will even be able to figure out what is wrong, and if I should cancel my appt.
My son said your soccer team won, I don't remember your posting any orange fever pictures this year.
I had to laugh, the golf that was on t.v. yesterday, one of the golfers wore bright orange slacks and shirt, he really stood out!
**Gramma, you will be in my thoughts and prayers for your surgery on Friday. The thought of wearing a cast in the hot weather does not sound too pleasant.
I loved the lilly pictures, dang squirrels ate all of mine. Hopefully you will have better luck.
How awesome is that, to have two family members expecting babies so close together.
I bet it felt good to get home after being away. I hope you get everything accomplished that you need to before your surgery.

Hello to anyone checking in, we will be attending one of Madison's softball games this evening, I think I will go freeze some water bottles to take along, it is supposed to be hot and humid, yuck. Madison is attending a swim camp this week and they will have to pick her up and take her to the softball games, poor girl will be worn out, swimming all day and then playing softball in this heat!

PattiT - yes, we found a few...everyone was walking around with pails and plastic bags so they were looking too. I would sit down and dig through the stones, found a couple of nice pieces that way. It's relaxing.

Good morning Ann, Pattit,Fan and whoever else stops in.
Thanks pattit. I am going to try to cook a few meals to put in e freezer so Jim won't have to cook much while I am recuperating.
I don't know what I did to my laptop, but it won't connect to the internet now. I ran a scan on it it last night. It says that it is connected but the browsers won't
Open. I will take it with me to Krys' s this week and get Brian to check it out. He is pretty good at it. So in the meantime I am on my kindle. Well better get up and get busy. Hope you all have a good day.
If I could live my life over,
I would find you sooner so I could love you longer

Hi everybody, have a fantastic day Very Happy .

I'm running after my self today, been doing all kinds of no priority things and ignoring the important things. Just one of these weird days. I called in the roof repair company to check out my roof and they decided to come in tomorrow at 11am. Then I called the vet's to ask whether they'd arranged a convenient way for me to have Myo's dental work done. They hadn't and told me I should contact their replacing dental specialist in the Hague and use the animal ambulance for transport, which is bingo in the money department on top of the vet's bill if I am to call them in. So I called another local vet with good facilities and made an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. I may have to go twice, but at least I can bike over there in less than 20 mins. Luckily both appointments are on the same day, I took a day off tomorrow.
Grammadot, don't overdo things and keep it simple.
PattiT, sounds like you had a great weekend Very Happy . Have fun tonight at Madison's game.
My team won this weekend in an amazing way, but yet it is still a Spanish guy having the best laugh, he won $136000 in free fuel for his car in the soccer stake organized in his company by predicting the correct outcome. I did put up a few orange fever pics this year, but I think the best has yet to come.
Did they take an X-ray of your ankle the last time? If they didn't, then don't cancel the appointment but ask for an X-ray.
Ann-Marie, seems you scored nicely at the book sale Smile and chicken tenders with honey-lime sauce sounds great too. Wish you fun and more critters at work.
