Good Morning, Friends!

I am off to the Farmer's Market to purchase strawberries for jam and frozen strawberries. Checked the calendar, and I have my niece's baby shower this afternoon. So, I hope all the strawberries are finished this morning.

What are your plans for today and this weekend?

~~Vicki

Hello,

I am off today and enjoying this gorgeous weather. Have the laundry done so I have been sitting outside reading, so nice to do. Have been tired for the past few days, the idiot neighbor across the street was a bit noisy the other night so had broken sleep. So today I feel like I am trying to get caught up on my rest. Did fall asleep for about 15 minutes in the recliner (fold out lawn chair) outside. Smile

Debating on if I want to go over to Elk Creek, there was a flower getting ready to bloom the other day...with the hard rains we had the other night just wondering if it's still there and if it did bloom did the hard rain knock it down. Confused Guess there is only one way to find out - - go over and see! Surprised

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
Ann

Good day everybody, have a wonderful weekend Very Happy

The rain stayed away and my laundry dry Cool . The weather became quite sunny and comfortably warm. Nice enough to spend the day outdoors on the street.
Saw a lot of alumni of the university today. One of the student societies was having a reunion. Many of them tried to find parking space in my neighbourhood. The men obviously were following a dress code, grey slacks and dark blue jacket. Laughing Boooring.
Tomorrow there are some activities going on in the city centre, might go over and have a look.
Ann-Marie, glad you have chance to enjoy the wonderful weather. How are things at Elk Creek today?
Vicki, that's a lot of strawberries. Are you going to make marmalade?

Fan - haven't made it that far yet. It's a bit warm & muggy and just thinking about walking in the woods makes me tired. Just enjoying the day with the kitties and reading my book. My belly hasn't been too happy with me lately either, might be the antibiotic or the change in the weather (heat, humidity).

It could very well be the antibiotics. How long do you have to take them?

10 days. Need to make up my mind too about the root canal or just have it pulled. The thing is once I start getting teeth pulled, it'll be another one and then another... Talked to a friend, she is leaning towards the root canal...I'll call the dental specialist and see what he thinks.

That's a good idea, he may be filling in the facts. Opinions are nice, but you need the facts enabling you to know their value.

Exactly. Smile I've had root canals before and they were painful, that is probably why I'm bucking the idea so much...and I don't like the Novocaine shots (needles) either. Confused

Good Afternoon, Friends!

I am back from my niece's baby shower. What a blessing to see family. Only a couple quarts of strawberries to finish. Perfect to do in the rain... showers started just as I left the baby shower. Karl is quickly grilling hamburgers for dinner. I am adding fruit and a salad on the side.

Ann - May the flowers be out if you go to Elk Creek! Smile I hope a root canal works out so you don't lose the tooth.

Fan
- How nice that you can meet a lot of alumni! And, perfect timing for Sunday. (I'm guessing: first the city centre, second the game.) Smile Yes, I did make marmalade. I am also freezing some strawberries sliced for a salad or dessert.

PattiT - We picked up a couple kohlrabi at the Farmer's Market this morning. Both of us will "taste test" them raw tomorrow. Smile Smile
