Hello everyone,

Whew, we've had some torrential downpours and lots of wind - mostly on Tuesday. Shocked Was crazy!! Was at work, looked out once and it was pouring so hard we couldn't see the bay. Then just before I left at 7:30 it kind of cleared up and got nice.

Yesterday turned out nice, cool though. We went to Walnut Creek in the hopes of walking the creek but it was running too fast, too dirty and couldn't see bottom. I kind of figured that's what we would find but I did get some more flower pictures for my journal. Smile I'm up to 57 flowers...one I can't identify but will keep investigating.

Got my hair cut yesterday, she does such a cute job on it. I have it cut short for summer, unless August is extremely hot won't be cutting it so short next time.

Better get around here, get my lunch ready and brush my teeth.

Later,
Ann

Good Afternoon, Friends!

I have been on the run, but today I'm home working in the basement. We're clearing more things, but the big item is the bunk bed that Karl's dad made. It is shaped as an "L" with many drawers built in. The ladder to the top is built in, too. We will take it apart, and Adam and Melissa will take it home.

As we clear that basement out, we will have more living space. I used to bring meals to the basement on hot sticky days. And, we had furniture where we could sit and chat.

Ann - How nice you have a journal! Is this an annual journal? I have had a problem off and on.

Fan - I took a break and did watch the Dutch-Argentine game. What a disappointment. Did you mention you would be cheering for Germany? The German team is my son's favorite.

Have to keep working while I'm home.

~~Vicki

Hello girls a sunny day here today. It is nice to not see a severe weather alert scrolling across the t.v.
We have been spending a lot of time lounging around my sons pool. It is such a good way to cool down in this HOT weather. Such wicked storms we have been having. Hubby cleaned the pool right before we left and we no sooner got home and it started getting scary windy. We got a call from our son saying that the shutters were all blown off his house and that the pine needles from under his pine tree were all through the pool and clogging the filters. They ended up only finding one of their shutters, not sure where the rest could have blown to. Sad thing is the were only a couple of months old. I guess it could have been much worse.
**Ann, that is great that you were able to document 57 flowers! I haven't been on BakeSpace lately so I can't be of much help as to how it is running.
**Fan, soccer is not very popular on this side of the pond, but my son says he and his friends are planning their Sunday around the finals. I was happy to hear how well Germany did though. Have you been enjoying your meat loaves?
I hope your roof repair is not too expensive, not something that can usually be put off or ignored.

Hope everyone has good things lined up for the weekend. See you all later,

Vicki, yes. Now that we are out of the competition, we may as well cheer for the Germans to besiege Argentina Laughing

PattiT - there were tornadoes on this side of PA...did some damage to a couple of homes. Scary. I like storms but NOT that kind!! Shocked

Vicki - this all started when I was off in May, had to keep my mind on something so I started a flower journal.

Good morning guys! Was the site slow this morning or has this been ongoing? Let me know. Smile We are also updating our home page soon with our videos and featured cookbooks, featured mentors... should be a nice refresh.

I've been in London, Chicago and NYC producing our conferences and then we have Atlanta in Sept and my wedding in Oct. Let's just say... I'm all over the place.

Miss you guys! Smile
