Morning,

Had kind of a crappy night of sleep...going to blame it on menopause! Smile Toss and turn, mind going a hundred miles an hour, hate that. And some idiot was racing up and down the street squealing tires. Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad

Have a few more flowers to add to the journal but I'm not sure what they are, will keep researching to find out what they are. A man from Erie did a flower/bird/critter book for Presque Isle, he took beautiful pictures, would love to buy it but it's kind of expensive.

Better get around here, gather my stuff up and head out.

Later,
Ann

Morning girls, Ann I am enjoying your flower pictures. Have a good day at work. Tomorrow is two of my sons birthdays, both will be out of town on their actual birthdays. We told Darryl and AnnMarie we would take care of Madison today while they go out to dinner. We had also invited a friend of Madison's to come along for a visit. When her and Madison were playing on a trampoline Angelina fell and tried to break her fall and ended up with two broken wrists. I thought her and Madison could come here and watch movies or something, not quite sure if there is much else she can do.
Hubby and I wanted to get out and about this morning but we are still awaiting the finalized plan from Madison's parents. This is the way it always goes, sigh.
Started the morning off with spilling my 16 oz. tumbler filled with coffee. What a mess, my dryer is calling me so I will have to go take care of that. Once again Fan your meal looked delicious! Tortellinis with mushrooms, yum!

Good morning Ann-Marie, PattiT and everybody else, have fantastic weekend Very Happy

I intended to sleep in this morning, but Myo had other plans Rolling Eyes . So after half an hour of being kept a wake by paw, tail, whiskers and whatever other weapons she had, I gave in and got up. Puttered around a bit, read the newspaper, said politely hello to the baker and bought bread, got in my laundry, and watched a sky threatening with a t-storm that didn't come, but caused the weather to be very mucky.
Coffee on the pavement and a very long nap after lunch, which actually was supposed to be my dinner, but luckily I made a big batch, so there's still enough for dinner tonight. It was really yummy and definitely a keeper; gazpacho of Cantaloupe melon and cucumber, with garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, pepper, salt and garnished with mint leaves. I'm even thinking of adding mint to it as an extra herb.

Ann-Marie, I tried to find the attachment with your flower book, but it wasn't in the mail. Are you still having troubles with the wasps?
PattiT, congrats on the double b-day tomorrow. Darryl and Nick I suppose? Too bad of the coffee, is the tumbler still okay? Have fun with Madison today

Good Morning, Friends!

We were off to the Farmer's Market, and just returned home. We bought couisa/koosa summer squash. The nice couple (husband Dutch/wife Syrian) brought us to their home so she could give me the recipe and the special tool to seed them... making the first recipe today. How thankful I am! We also purchased blueberries to freeze in 1 cup bags... along with tomatoes, lettuce, and currants.

((Ann)) - I have been praying to you the last couple weeks. They've been rough. The menopause isn't a breeze either. Thank you for sharing the Woodland Sunflower yesterday.

PattiT
- Wow! You seem to have a busy day planned. Thank you for mentioning Fan's recipe!

Fan
- Your tortellini and mushrooms look mouthwatering. I have cherry tomatoes on hand, too. I decided against purchasing cantaloupe this week, otherwise your gazpacho would be on the menu... can't wait to try it later.

I have a busy start to this weekend.
~~Vicki

Morning all,

Fan - Jim sprayed the hornet nest, haven't seen any. But of course with all the rain I don't think they would have been out.

Had another crappy night last night. Was sound to sleep and the idiot neighbor played LOUD music, he'd turn it up then turn it down. Someone called the cops on him, they told him to turn it down. Smile Finally, someone other than me can't stand the loud music!! Very Happy I'm glad someone else called instead of it always being me. THEN he stood or sat outside with his dog, hollering, whistling and clapping his hands at her. Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad He's so stupid. Unbelievable

We sure had some big thunder here yesterday, sharp lightning and hard rain too. Crazy weather!! Looks like there is a 30% chance of more storms today. Rolling Eyes We don't need anymore rain for a few days.

Better get around here, need to head out soon.

Later,
Ann

Good morning Ann-Marie and everybody else, have a fantastic Sunday Very Happy

Ann-Marie, sorry you had another crappy night. Glad Jim sprayed the hornet's nest. Hopefully he has been successful.
No thunderstorms here, the clouds moved away yesterday evening. And the weather got very comfortable. Comfortable enough to sit outside in shorts and tops, drinking cocktails till midnight. The night was relatively cool, and this morning I could spend the morning in the backyard sipping coffee and reading papers without being steamed. Made my dinner in the morning in order to avoid being in the kitchen at the end of the day, when everything is warmed up. Some leftover gazpacho and a sammy with tuna salad will do for tonight.
Vicki, I got a link to the gazpacho in the recipe thread for August. Are you going to share the recipe of the Syrian lady with us?
